In the short car ride, Christina thought about what had just happened. She felt so bad about smacking Taylor. If only she could turn back the hands of time. And the worst part was, he didn't even do it. She sighed and looked out the window.

She would have to have to have Michelle give her a lesson on flirting. Now, ask her a month ago, and she would have rather died. But, she was getting desperate. If he got into a fraternity, she knew he would get girls. Lots of girls. He was a babe. There was no way she could look around it. She wanted Taylor. And she was even desperate to ask Michelle for flirting lessons. She could use it. She was really tired of being labeled a geek.

Now she only hoped he would forgive her. She knew he would, but she still had a sinking feeling.

She also thought it was very gentlemanly of him to stick up for a person he had only known for a month. A month. How could a month be so slow, but then again, how could it go so fast? She really hoped one of them would make a move.

She wanted to kiss him, but was way too shy, and she had never really kissed a guy, nor had she ever really been kissed. She was also nervous that it would make a dent in their friendship, and at this point, she did not want to do that

She also was secretly flattered when David had mistaken her for his girlfriend. She hoped they looked good together. She pictured it, for it wasn't like she hadn't before.

Taylor reached for her hand as they walked hand in hand through the park on a bright sunny day. They sat down and watched the swans in the pond before them. " They are so beautiful." She said with a sigh.

"Just like you." He said leaning closer.

He got closer and closer, and reached over and wrapped both arms around her, and closed his eyes, and his lips were almost touching hers when-

"CHRISTINA!!! Get out of the car! Do you want to go see Taylor or not?"

Christina suddenly snapped out of her trance when the name Taylor was mentioned. She looked over to where Michelle was holding her door open for her. She shook her head and got out.

"What's with you? Daydreaming about Taylor again, huh?"

"Yeah, uh, I mean, no!" She stuttered.

"Yeah, well, there are the guys! Let's go get them!" She said running away.

Then Christina saw Taylor. Just the sight of him made her stomach do flip flops.

She smiled at him nervously when he put his hand on the small of her back and said 'hi' happily.

Her emotions surged when he touched her. His hand was warm and gentle on her back, and she hoped it would stay there.

"I really hope we get in, don't you? They seem pretty nice, don't you think?" he asked.

"Yeah, I think so too." She said.

They walked in to find the party in full swing. Immediately, Emily ran over and said hi, and offered them each a soda, and took every on into the main room where most of the people were. She introduced them to a lot of the people who were rushing, and members. They all seemed pretty nice.

"Looks like a vast improvement, huh?" Taylor said.

"Yup, it does." Christina said, and she meant it.

Everyone was sitting around and talking, or they were outside, since the weather was still fairly warm. The house was smaller than the other party, but Christina could tell that she liked it.

"Is this the house for the males or the females?" she asked Emily.

"Um, this is the one for the males."

"Oh, it's nicer than I expected it to be." She said, looking around the room, where the lights were low and people were scattered about, talking and listening to the music that was booming from the patio.

"Yeah, I expected all male frat houses to be dumps." Emily said bluntly.

Christina laughed, and took a drink of her soda. "So, where do all the females live?"

"Well, they didn't used to live together, because I don't think there have ever been that many, but I heard they're looking for a house near here."

"Oh, that's going to be hard to find." She said.

"yeah, I think so too. And even if they do find one, I don't see how they're going to pay for it."

"Yeah."

"I mean, they have to find a house big enough for all of us, and then we have to pay for it. I think that's why they're trying to get a bunch of girls to rush, to help pay for the house!" Emily said with a laugh.

Christina instantly decided that she liked Emily for her blunt sense of humor. Besides, she needed to befriend a few people other than Michelle while she was there.
