3 WORLDS APART Chapter 9 Colleen's View
I couldn't sleep. No matter how hard I tried, I kept thinking of Nick. Why did he have to kiss me like that? What right did he have to do that to me? He must be really desperate for some action. Whenever I can't sleep, I usually call Nick, because he can never sleep either, but this time I picked up the phone, and dialed Brian's number.
"Hello?" Brian said, after the seventh ring. I had definitely woken him up.
"Bri, it's Col. I can't sleep."
"Really? I was sleeping just fine." he joked.
"Sorry. I really need to talk to you. It's about Nick."
"You need to talk to me about Nick? What's wrong sweetie?" he asked, his voice filled with curiosity.
"Well uh… Nick drove me home from AJ's house tonight, and he walked me in. He was looking really confused, so I asked him if he was okay. He said he was, but the next thing I know, we're on the couch making out, and his hand's up my shirt. I got really angry with him, and told him to leave. He was pretty upset, and he was apologizing… but I was just so mad!."
Silence.
"Bri? You there?"
"He k-k-kissed you?" he finally blurted out.
"Yeah. I'm gonna make sure me and him talk tomorrow morning, before we get on the plane. I just wanna settle this thing."
"Oh my God, that asshole! What a bastard. What fucking right does he have to do that to you?" Brian shouted.
"Bri, calm down. Don't be so hard on him." I replied, defending Nick.
"How can I not be hard on him? He shouldn't be making moves on his friend! That ass has got a lot to learn."
"Yeah well he's only 20 years old, as am I. We both have a hell of a lot to learn. And Brian, this is not all Nick… I didn't stop him until we were on the couch."
"Yeah but it shouldn't have ever went to the couch. He should've known better, that jerk."
"Okay Brian, calm down. I just realized that I gotta go pack. I completely forgot. You're picking me up tomorrow morning, right?"
"Yep, 7:30 a.m. Now try to get some sleep."
"I will. Bye."
"Later Col."
I hung up the phone, and began throwing clothes into my suitcase.
* * * * * The Next Morning...
Beep, Beep, Beep, Beep, Beep…
"Shut the hell up!" I shrieked, knocking my alarm clock, blindly off of my bedroom table. I slowly opened my eyes. I was still partially asleep as I made my way into the shower. Suddenly, it hit me: I had to talk to Nick today. What the fuck was I supposed to say? How could I possibly talk to him about last night? I know he's one of my best friends and I can talk to him about everything, but this is gonna be hard.
A few minutes later, I heard Brian's car horn. "Coming." I shouted.
"Hey Collie! Throw your stuff in the trunk." Brian said, giving me a smile.
"Okay Rok." I replied, tossing my luggage in the back, and hopping in next to him.
"So are you calmed down?" I asked, hoping he wasn't as mad at Nick anymore. Even I wasn't as mad at Nick anymore… I just wanted to talk to him about it.
"Yeah I'm good, for now." he replied. He took a good look at me, then opened his mouth to say something… but he stopped himself.
"Bri? You wanna say something? It looked like you wanted to tell me something."
"Uh… yeah… is that a um… on your neck?" he mumbled.
"A what?" I replied, "What are you talking about Brian?"
"Look in the mirror." he muttered.
I quickly pulled out a mirror from my purse, and stared into it.
"What am I looking at?" I asked, curiously.
"Your neck."
I glanced at my neck and noticed a dark spot… a hickey from Nick.
"Oh shit…" I mumbled.
"Did Nick do that?" he asked. I could tell he was getting angry all over again.
"Yeah…" I said, quietly.
"That's it! That asshole is so fucking dead!" he shrieked, his eyes filled with rage.
"Brian stop! I'm going to talk to Nick… and PLEASE don't disturb us." I pleaded.
"Yeah okay, but if he pisses me off, he's gonna get it." he laughed.

Brian's View
Colleen and I were the first ones at the airport.
"Nick will probably be here soon, followed by AJ, Sophia, and Kevin. Howie and Marietta will probably be the last ones to come. The band's taking the later flight to New York."
"Wow Brian, looks like your prediction is wrong. Here comes AJ, Cefi, Kevin, Howie, and Marietta. I guess they all came in AJ's expedition."
"Nick is usually here before Kevin." I replied, pouting that my prediction was wrong.
"Aw it's okay Bri! We're all wrong sometimes."
"Yeah I know."
"Hey everyone!" Colleen shouted, running over to everyone.
"Hey guys." I said, following her over to them.

Nick's View
I was 20 minutes late, as I ran into the airport. I had overslept. I spent half the night thinking about Col, and I was so tired, I completely ignored my alarm clock. Kev's gonna kill me!
I walked over to Gate 47 and I noticed Colleen sitting by herself. I knew she would want to talk to me, so I decided to go say hello.
When she looked up and saw me standing there, she looked away.
"Hey Col."
"Nick…"
"Where's everyone?"
"They went to get some breakfast. Can we talk?"
"Yeah…" I replied, grabbing her hand and leading her to the seats in the corner of the airport.
Once we were seated, I just stared at her. I couldn't find any words. I was still holding onto her hand.
"Nick, what happened last night? Was that your hormones, or the fact that you haven't had some action in awhile, or something else?" she said, weakly.
"I really don't know Colleen. I was up half the night trying to think of a reason why I kissed you, and I can't think of anything."
I looked towards the ground, afraid of what her reaction might be.
"Okay well lets just pretend it didn't happen. We're best friends, and we can't ruin our relationship by fighting over something like this, okay?" she said, lifting my head up and looking me in the eyes. She has really pretty eyes…
We sat and talked for awhile, about nothing important.
"Hey Nick, can we talk?" I looked up and saw Brian standing over me.
"Sure." I replied, as we walked into the nearest men's room. I saw Col flash Brian a strange look, as we walked away.
"What's going on man?" I asked, curiously.
"This." he replied, punching me, hard, in the face. I fell to the floor in pain.
