3 WORLDS APART Chapter 10 Brian's View
I watched Nick, with a smile on my face, as he fell to the floor. I was just so angry with him for putting the moves on Colleen. What fucking right did he have to do that? I'm her best friend, her protector, and Nick's not making my job very easy.
"Brian, please, tell me what's wrong!" he pleaded, slowly standing up.
"What's wrong? You wanna know what's wrong? Don't you ever, ever, put your hands on Col. You're one of her best friends, and you can't even calm your fucking hormones around her? Give me a break!" I shouted.
"She told you?" he replied, weakly.
"Yeah she was pretty upset last night, so she called me."
"Bri, me and Colleen already talked about this… and we're all good now."
"Yeah you might be 'all good' with her, but you're not with me!"
"Why should you give a fuck? You don't own her Brian! She's free to do whatever the hell she wants, and if you were such a good friend to her, you would realize that!" Nick snapped, his eyes looking straight into mine.
I couldn't contain my anger anymore. I lunged at him, tackling him to the floor. I hit him, hard, in the face, and managed to stand up, leaving him lying on the floor. I decided he hadn't had enough, so I kicked him in the groin. He let out a 'yelp.' I could tell he was in pain. He deserves it… I thought to myself.
Nick's View
I was in such pain, I didn't even wanna move, but I was so angry with Brian. What right did he have telling me who, and who not, I should put the moves on? I really wanted to fight back, so I gathered up all of my strength and stood up, still holding my stomach. It's really not like Brian to hit me… he must be really pissed off.
"Oh your coming back for more Nick? I thought you've had enough?" he said, smirking.
"Oh I've had enough… but you haven't." I replied, giving him a devilish grin.
I ran over to him, and threw him a hard punch. He fell backwards, but was able to keep his balance.
"Fuck you asshole." he mumbled, walking over to the sink and rubbing cold water over his swelled-shut eye.
I sank down to the floor, and put my head in my hands. Brian walked to the other end of the bathroom, and slowly sat himself down. He glared at me, and I glared right back.
Sophia's View
"Col why do you look so worried?" I asked, concerned. As soon as Nick and Brian left, she had been pacing back and forth, with a worried look on her face.
"Yeah Colleen, what's going on?" AJ piped in.
"Um, I, uh, okay… well you guys are gonna find out sooner or later…" she replied.
"Wow." AJ and I mumbled in disbelief, after she had told us the whole story.
"What does Brian have up his ass?" AJ joked.
"AJ!" I said, shoving him playfully.
"I don't know why he's so upset guys, but I'm afraid he's gonna beat the crap out of Nick." Col replied, trying to remain calm.
"Well I say we go check on them." I suggested, grabbing AJ's hand as all three of us walking towards the men's room.
I put my ear up against the door, but I couldn't hear anything. It was completely silent.
"AJ go in there." Col said, nervously.
He opened up the door, and gasped.
"OH SHIT!" he shouted. Col and I ran in and saw Nick and Brian on opposite sides of the room. Nick was lying there holding his stomach, and his eyes was brutally black. Brian's eye was swollen shut. AJ and I ran over to him, while Col immediately went over to Nick. I saw a look of complete hurt in Bri's eyes, and I knew exactly why… Colleen was more worried about Nick than Brian.
Brian's View
Sophia and AJ were crowded around me, but I was too busy watching Col and Nick. She walked right past me and went right over to that asshole. Doesn't she realize that I was just trying to protect her?
"What the fuck happened here?" Sophia demanded.
Nick looked up, "Well Brian dragged me in here, and started telling me off about how I shouldn't have made a move on Col, like her fucking owns her or something. Then he punches me a couple of times, and kicks me, hard, in the groin. So I got up and punched his stupid-ass face in."
"Brian? I told you to stay out of this!" Col said, glaring at me. Her hand was in Nick's and I could tell she was really upset.
"Sorry… I just got so mad! He's supposed to be your friend, and he goes and puts the moves on you? What the hell is that about Col?" I shouted.
Her and Nick exchanged glances, and I noticed Col's eyes beginning to tear. She really hates fighting with people.
"Bri, me and Nick talked about it… everything's okay now. Let's just drop it, please." she pleaded.
"Well I guess if you can drop it, so can I." I replied, annoyed that I had to be the one to back down.
"Thanks B." she smiled.
"Damn Nick, Brian sure did a number on you." AJ laughed.
"Shut up Bone!" Nick shot back, "Why don't you guys leave before Kevin, Howie, and Marietta come looking for you. I really don't need Kevin finding out about all this."
"Um Nick? Look at you! He's gonna know something happened." Sophia said, giggling at Nick's stupidity.
"Yeah, well… okay here's the story: Brian and I were fighting because he thought that Colleen paid too much attention to me, and I thought that she paid too much attention to him… okay?"
We all nodded our heads in agreement. If only Nick knew how true that statement was…
Nick's View
I was in a lot of pain. I really just wanted them to leave me alone, except for Colleen, of course. I loved having her take my side through all of this…
"Okay, well we're gonna go get Brian some ice… c'mon B." AJ said, as Bri, Sophia, and him walked out the door. Me and Colleen were alone in the men's room.
"Okay, thank the Lord they're gone." I mumbled, trying to stand up…
"Oh crap." I muttered, sinking back down. I couldn't even stand up! Fuck Brian!
"Oh my God Nick, here, let me help you stand up."
She grabbed my arm, and slid it over her shoulder. She basically dragged me over to the bathroom counter, and made me sit on top of it.
"Now… take off your shirt." she ordered, smiling.
"What? In public? No! We have no time for this… our flight is leaving soon!" I complained.
"Nick, we have 45 minutes until we board the plan. So lets go, off with the shirt."
I reluctantly lifted my shirt over my head…
"Can we atleast go into a stall or something? I feel so… weird out here."
"Yeah okay." she helped me into the nearest stall and I sat on the top of the toilet bowl.
"Okay now lets see if B broke a rib…"
"What? There is NO way that pussy broke any of my ribs." I replied, hoping that he hadn't.
She put her hands on my lower stomach and felt around.
"Does this hurt?" she asked, pressing in where my rib cage was.
"Nope."
"Good! No broken ribs." she said, happily. "I'm so sorry I told Brian about last night, that was a big mistake on my part."
"No… you were upset. I don't blame you… I would be too if my best friend put the moves on me out of nowhere. I'm really sorry about that Col."
"Nick it's really okay. I gotta admit, you're a pretty good kisser…" she replied, blushing.
"Really? Wow… no one's ever said that to me before."
"That's because you've never been kissed before last night… you know, frenched."
"Yes I have…kind of…I mean, I was going out with Mandy for a long time, obviously we've frenched. I've just never been the one to initiate it… Mandy was always the one to do that."
"So I was your first french kiss, that you actually initiated?" she replied, giggling.
Colleen's View
"Nick I feel bad for you… I was your first french kiss."
"Well, not that I would know… but you were pretty damn good." he replied, seductively.
"Really?"
"Well you know what they say don't you?"
"What do they say Nick?"
"Second times a charm…"
"No! They say third times a charm."
I watched as he placed his hands on my hips, and leaned in to kiss me. I kissed back, fully wanting him this time. He lifted my shirt up over my head, caressing my neck, and face. I pulled away long enough to help him with my bra. We were all over each other, not realizing we were in a bathroom stall.
"Nick, I want you." I whispered, as we continued undressing each other.
"Nick! Colleen! Let's go… we're boarding the plane early!" I heard AJ shout.
"Shit." we both mumbled in unison, as we quickly slipped our clothes back on. "Coming AJ!"
