Never Ending Love-Chapter Five

“Kayla, this is JC, Lance, Joey, and Chris,” Justin said, gesturing to the four men who surrounded them. “Hey! Why do I always have to be last?” A guy on the far right of the booth pouted. “Because you suck, Chris!” Justin said. Kayla laughed. “Guys, this is my sister, Kayla.” He said. Kayla felt proud that Justin had called him her sister. “Hi,” Lance and JC said. Chris and Joey stared at her. “You got a boyfriend?” Joey asked. “No!” she retorted. His mouth fell open. All five guys laughed. “Okay, c’mon.” Justin said, and slid into the booth next to Lance, Kayla on his right. “So, guys, um, do you guys have girlfriends?” She asked. “I’ve always wondered that when I was a fan, and I only knew JC, Chris and Justin’s girlfriends.” “Yeah,” three of them said, the three being JC, Lance, and Chris. One, Joey, said, “Unfortuently, yes,” they laughed. “Um, Joe, didn’t you just give Kim that really special promise ring?” Justin asked, reffering to Kimberly, Joey’s girlfriend. “And I aint gotta girlfriend, sis!” Justin laughed. “Still looking.” He said. “Really? Well, I mean, judging you...who would want to go out with you?” She joked. “Hey! I am one of the most wanted men in America!” he said. She whipped out her purple cell phone. “Yes. Hi Lynn. Yeah, Justin’ll be over there. Yes, I’m afraid he got a little full of himself...mm-hhm... okay, he’ll be there! Luv ya, bye!” Kayla said fakily in the cell phone. “Noo!!” Justin pleaded, “Guys help me!” he looked helplessly around, all the guys not willing to help. Kayla smiled devishly. “Bro! I was just kidding! Jeez, what went up your butt today?” she said, emphasizing on the word your. “You!” He retorted. The boys all laughed. Kayla silenced them with a glare. “Whoa. Somebody got up on the wrong side of the bed today!” JC and Lance said together. “Lance! JC! I never expected you guys...” She started. They started laughing. Soon, they had settled down, and Kayla had gotten really aqquainted with the guys. They ordered, and sat in silence waiting for their food. Chris’s stomache rumbled. They actually, heard his stomach! It was the funniest thing. Pretty soon, their lunches had arrived, Chris eating his steak in 3.5 seconds. They all laughed as he choked on his steak. “Eww, man, don’t spit that all over our lady-guest!” JC exclaimed. “I wasn’t...” Chris said, spitting out sparks of steak as he said. He realized his mistake. He finsihed chewing, which took an awfuly long time, and said, “Sorry?” Kayla and the guys shook their heads. Then Kayla laughed. All the boys— especially Chris, nodded gratefully.
1 hour later, Justin and Kayla stumbled out the door, Kayla using his head as a head-rest. “C’mon, Kay, you can rest in the car. I can’t walk!” Justin exclaimed. “I guess that’s your prob, JuJu” she replied. They had had a great time at the lunch. All of the guys were super-sweet, and she liked them a lot. “So, when’s your next tour?” Kayla asked. To tell the truth, Kayla didn’t want Justin to leave. He had grown to be a big part of her life. “Well, we get to stay home for Christmas, and then there’s the wedding, so...I guess sometime in August.” He said cheerfully. “Noo! That’s when I have summer, and it’s my last year before going to college! Can’t you stay? Please? See me off to college? I’m scared!!!” she exclaimed. “Don’t worry, Sis! It’s not that scary, ya know. And plus, I’ll call!” he said. “It’s not the same.” She pouted. They reached his car. She slid into the passenger seat and put down the top. They rode in silence. Suddenly, Justin pulled over, and looked at Kayla. “Look, Kayla, I’m really sorry. It’s just that with the wedding, the tours gonna be held off, and then we’ll be behind. Your school starts in September, and I can’t be there. I’m sorry, Sis. Forgive me?” he asked. “Oh, okay. But only because your my bro. But still....” She said. “Good, cuz I love you!” he said. “Just drive,” she said.
