Reese walked into the cozy café and found an empty computer area. Glancing at her watch, she signed on with only a few minutes to spare. Going directly to the ‘write mail’ option, her hands glided with experience across the keys as she wrote a short letter to her online friend, Matthew.
Matt –
Signing off her screen name Reese heard a voice by the front entrance call her over. She turned to see Clarence, a fellow radio intern, and her friend that would be taking her to the airport.
Before Reese had a chance to move she felt two hands come behind her back and placed over her eyes. “Don’t say a word and no one gets hurt.” Danny whispered into her ear sending chills down her spine. Not speaking as Danny requested she peeled his hands away and turned to face him. Wrapping his arms around her waist she threw her own around his neck and pulled him into a long, close hug.
“This is what I’ve missed most about you.” She crooned into his neck, softly biting his skin. Something she knew drove him crazy.
Not letting go Danny buried his face into Reese’s scarlet tendrils and breathed in. “I missed your smell.” He said inhaling again before pulling away slightly. His sea green eyes looked into her own dark brown and a wide smile grew across his face. “Can I get a kiss now?” He half teased, raising an eyebrow slightly.
Giving a heavy and sarcastic sigh Reese nodded. “I suppose.” She leaned in and placed a soft kiss on Danny’s check. “Now, let’s go get my bags.” Pulling him along Reese stopped and turned back to her boyfriend and said, “we’ll have plenty of time to, ahhh, catch up back home.”

As you know, I travel home to L.A. after a long trip away. I am so excited to be able to see my friends and boyfriend again. That is part of why I’m writing you. I don’t think I will be able to keep in touch once I am back in Los Angeles. Time will be limited for starters and I will be rekindling what’s been missing for so long with my beloved one. I hope you don’t mind parting so suddenly. Our conversations are ones that I will always look back on with fondness.
Always,
Kay
The flight was long and exhausting, but as Reese unboarded the plane her heart raced and she quickened her steps. She moved away from the crowds and hoped Danny could find her amongst swarms of people. The butterflies in her stomach grew tense as her chestnut eyes scanned the crowd in search of him. He had a habit of running late, but this was one time she hoped he’d be waiting. Not noticing Danny's familiar smile or trademark blonde spikes Reese was ready to give up hope and catch a cab back to his place. “Bastard.” She muttered under her breath.
