“He just showed up?” Dakota asked. Courtney had walked in the door of the house they shared and spilled the event that just happened. “I swear. Right after you left.” Courtney smiled. “Leave it to me to leave early today of all days.” Dakota smiled. “Well, don’t worry. We’re going to the concert and you’ll get to meet the guys.” Courtney smiled back. It had been so long since she’s actually seen the guys and had to admit she was a little nervous.

The car arrived at exactly six o’clock.
“Geez, talk about being on time” Dakota said, walking with Courtney from the house. “Josh is never on time, so I’m sure someone else had something to do with it” Courtney laughed. “So, you know all of them right?” Dakota asked. “Yeah. I’ve known Josh the longest though. Well, and Justin. My family lived down here during the Mickey Mouse Club days and Josh and I became good friends. It’s always good too see him when he’s in town.” Courtney explained. “I can imagine” Dakota smiled. “So, how is it that I’ve known you for years and I’ve never met him before?” she joked. “D! You’ve been gone forever, out dancing your little heart out! I just got you back!” Courtney smiled. “I know, I know… all the living out my dreams stuff caught up with me though. I love being back here. The house, my own dance studio, Florida… what more could I ask for?” Dakota asked. “Well, you’re about to add ‘meeting the best guys in the world’ to that list.” Courtney smiled.

They had arrived at the arena where the guys would be performing in no time at all. Waiting for them was Lonnie, a security guard she’d met some time ago. They said their hellos and Lonnie proceeded to take the two back to see the guys. He pointed to a door at the end of the hall and left them alone. “Well, this is it. You ready?” Courtney smiled looking over at Dakota. Dakota nodded, smiling. “Of course.” Courtney raised her hand to knock on the door and just as she did, the door opened.

“Joey!!” Courtney smiled. “Hey girl!” Joey said, scooping her up into a tight hug. He released her and looked over to Dakota. “Friend of yours?” he asked Courtney with a suspicious looking grin on his face.
“Yeah. Joe, this is my friend, Dakota.” She said, still smiling. Joey extended his hand and Dakota graciously accepted. “Any friend of Courtney’s is a friend of mine” Joey said with a smirk. “Oh Joe, would you let ‘em in!” JC said, coming up from behind. Joey moved off to the side as Courtney and Dakota made their way into the room. Dakota stood wide eyed for a minute as her eyes adjusted to the visions before her. Courtney’s voice brought her back into reality.

“Josh, this is Dakota. Dakota - JC.” She said, before leaving to say hello to the other guys. “So….” JC started, akwardly. Dakota smiled at his reluctance. It was nice to know that the situation wasn’t only uncomfortable for her. A voice saved the both of them. “D, come on over here!” Courtney exclaimed from Justin’s side. Dakota made her way over to the group that had formed around Courtney. She watched in awe as her friend smiled and laughed with her old friends. After introductions were made Dakota felt a little more comfortable. Courtney was right about one thing, they were great. Totally normal and unaffected by their surroundings. She was quickly snapped from the daydream just in time to see JC in front of her offering her a drink. She recovered and accepted.

An hour passed and it was getting time for the guys to get ready for the show. Security took the girls out to their seats, promising to return them after the show.
