"Please fasten your seatbelts. The plane will be taking off in about three minutes," the flight attendant told the passengers.
"Ugh I hate flying. How long is this flight again?" Cass asked Mercedes.
"I think six hours, but I'm not sure," she answered.
"Good. That gives me enough time to get some more sleep. I'm so tired," Cass said as she yawned.
"Good morning passengers. I'm your captain, Jake Roberts. I'll be flying this plane. Hope you all enjoy the flight, which will be starting right now.", said the captain over the intercom. The plane started down the runway and when it got enough speed took off into the sky.
"Well, I'm going to try to get some sleep. Wake me up when we land, ok?" Cassidy said to her friend.
"Yeah ok," she replied. Mercedes was left alone with her thoughts. She kept thinking about Nick, and how sweet he had been to her. She couldn't wait until she would see him again. She soon fell asleep, and dreamed about Nick and what they might do together when they met up again.
"Ok passengers, the plane will be landing in a few moments, so please fasten your seatbelts and prepare for landing. Thank you for flying with us."
Mercedes had been awake for about an hour. She leaned over to wake up her friend. "Cass wake up. The plane is landing and you need to put your seat belt on."
"Ok. What time is it?" Cassidy asked her friend.
Mercedes looked at her watch. "It's a little after two."
When they got to the terminal, Mercedes asked Cass if she could get her luggage for her.
"Yeah sure. Are you gonna go call Nick?" she said to Mercedes.
"Yeah. He asked me to call him when we landed. I'll meet you in baggage pick up."
With that, the two girls went off to do the stuff they had to do. When Mercedes got to the telephone, she reached in her pocket and pulled out the piece of paper that had his number on it. She picked up the phone and dialed his number.
"Hello?"
"I'll give you five guesses who this is. And you better get it on the first one," She told him.
"Hi babe! So I guess this means you made it ok?"
"Yeah. Everything went fine. Cass is over getting the luggage, so I can't talk for long. So when is your flight coming in? Give me all the info."
"Ok, it's flight 522. We're supposed to land at four P.M. at LAX tomorrow. Are you going to meet me there?" Nick asked.
"Duh! Of course I'm going to meet you there. Do you have my phone number?"
"Yeah I do. What? Ok fine, hold on. Hey, I have to go. Want me to call you later?"
"Yeah that would be good. Call about four if you can. I'll talk to you later."
"Ok bye," Nick said to her. With that, the two hung up.
Meanwhile, over in baggage Cass was calling A.J. on her cell phone.
"Hello?"
"Hey, love monkey. It's me. How ya doing?"
"Fine, sugar pop. How 'bout you?"
"Good. A little tired, but other then that good." There was a small silence between them.
"A.J.! Hang up the phone...we have to go!" One of the guys yelled in the back round.
"Hey I have to go. I'll call you later, OK?" A.J. said,
"Can't wait. Bye love." They hung up, and Cassidy started to look for the suitcases.
"Hey. Did you get the suit cases yet?" Mercedes asked her friend as she walked up to her.
"Almost. I'm still trying to get one of yours," Cass told her.
"Oh I think I see it!" Mercedes said and she grabbed it. After they had all of their luggage, they went outside and got a taxi.
"Long Beach, please," Mercedes told the driver.
