Hi there! Welcome to Harmony's Room! As you can see, we're pretty laid back in here so c'mon in, make yourself at home, and let me show you around! Hey David, wouldya spin us some tunes?
If you were a teenage girl in the mid-70's, identical twins Andy and David Williams probably graced your bedroom walls too. I may not be a teenager anymore but thanks to the wonders of the web, I can still have my 'dreamboats' on the walls of my cyber-rooms! I had a mad crush on them in the 70's then lost track of them (and for good reason: they took themselves out of the limelight for several years while they honed their musical talents). They resurfaced in '87 but at that time I was into heavy metal and (thanks to Def Leppard's 'Hysteria') completely missed their cd release (and I haven't stopped kicking myself for that yet!). They went on to work with several artists; performing and/or writing before popping back onto the music scene with their hit "Can't Cry Hard Enough" in 1991. Their beautiful voices were once again back in my life! When I first heard the song, I knew who it was before the DJ even said their names. The last cd they did together was "Harmony Hotel" in '93, and I know I'm not alone in wishing they'd put out some NEW tunes!

If you love iTunes, you can find the brothers there! iTunes

The brothers on vh1!Williams Brothers (Country) at VH1.com

Tidbits:
Andrew & David Williams were born on February 22nd, 1959
They are the identical twin nephews of singer Andy Williams
They've recorded 5 LP/CD's and have worked with such folks as T Bone Burnett, The Plimsouls, Victoria Williams, & Lucinda Williams
They had a bit part in the film "Grace of My Heart", and also performed a cover version of the song "Love Doesn't Ever Fail Us" for its soundtrack
Stevie Nicks did a cover of 'Some Become Strangers' (from the Two Stories LP) on her 'Rock A Little' CD
Susan Ashton recorded 'Can't Cry Hard Enough' on her 'Closer' CD
'Inch by Inch' was cowritten by Andrew & was on the Plimsouls LP 'Everywhere At Once' in 1983 before being released on the 'Two Stories' cd in '87
Country singer Bryan White recorded Andrew's song "How Long" but the only place I've seen it is on his Greatest Hits cd, released in 2000
Victoria Williams did a duet with David ("Can't Cry Hard Enough") on her 'This Moment in Toronto' cd.

News Bits: (Click a pic for updates on each guy!)

= = = = NEWS FLASH! (from 2002) = = = =

Varese Sarabande Records has released a cd of (mostly) previously unreleased recordings by the brothers - songs done during the mid-70's, after or around the same time as the 'One More Time' LP. The song lineup includes: 'What's Your Name', 'I Don't Know How To Say Goodbye', and our fave; 'Say It Again' from their Partridge Family gig!
So far I've found 3 places where it can be ordered:

Varese Saraband's website     Amazon.com     Tower Records.com

And now ... back to our regularly scheduled webpage ...

I started a club for fans of the twins, on yahoo. You have to join to read the messages, so you need a yahoo ID, but it's fairly painless! (Mucho thanks to TammyT for helping me out with all of this!)
