Emerald concepts:
When I started writing Emerald I had the idea of Ace owning a freak Charizard. At first the idea was simple, Draco would have green eyes and wings, nothing different from any other char other than that. Then the idea hit me to make him utterly different! Something new and different to grab attention so was born Draco.
Then thinking over the design I felt that this design was still too "charizard" so I changed Draco again and the final design was made. Here in this pic is also Ace, Draco's trainer. Ace is a dark hero who does anything to win, in the story he risks all to have his revenge and to regain the crown. Of course Draco wasn't a major focus in Emerald he still got his moments to shine when he fought off a pack of Rocket Pokemon to save Charcole, unfortunately for him she rejected him several times. With just hints to what happened to Cole during the Rocket enslavement I kept the darker storyline Ruby concepted to me in check.
Charcole, Draco's love interest. She was one of the easier characters to develop (sketch wise). Ruby came up with the concept of Charcole. Based on a charizard she traded to me she came up with the whole idea. As for Cole's dark past that was also her concept. I treaded carefully around that subject back in Emerald but, as I saw that I would be sending Draco's Flame to another site I allowed that subject a little more influence in the story.
Supporting cast included a young teen, Nero. He was eighteen in Emerald: A New World. He is a scribe by trade. He owns a smeargle (Smear, talked about but, I don't recall at the moment if he ever really did use him in this fic.) and tries to rally his fellow Emerald's to revolt against the Rocket Queen. He was shunned by his own village for this.
One of the "new" pokemon. I wanted some different characters for Emerald so I made up a few pokemon since Emerald is a parallel version of Kanto Earth (The version we see in the TV show) it made sense to me that they would have a few different pokemon. So here's Tork and his evolutions. Salawog (the green tadpole), Salatoed (brown toad) and Tork.
