PokeLeague Multi-Format Tournament

www.e-league.com

Date: Saturday, February 26th, 2000

Time: 8pm EST (Entries open at 7:30pm EST)

Location: #pokeleague on NewNet

Prizes: A total of 18 booster packs are being given away!

-------

Need to know how to use Apprentice or IRC to enter the tournament?

Go to http://zap.to/pokeguide to learn everything you

need to know!

-------

Rules:

The multi-format tournament is either 5 or 6 rounds (depending on

turnout) swiss-style, and the top eight players advance to the

single-elimonation playoffs.

However, this tournament is different from most of the others in

that each round, the rules change. There are five different formats

that will be played in the first five rounds, and these formats are:

*Basic Only*

(Only cards from the Base Set may be used.)

*Jungle-Fossil Only*

(Only BASIC energy cards, cards from the Jungle expansion, and cards from the Fossil expansion may be used.)

*Rocket Only*

(Only BASIC energy cards and cards from the Team Rocket expansion may be used.)

*Promo T2.x*

(All American Promo cards, Base Set, Fossil, Jungle, and Team Rocket may be used.)

*US Standard - ER Banned*

("Energy Removal", "Super Energy Removal", "Dragonair", "Golduck", "Poliwhirl", and "Mewtwo L60" are all banned. All other Base Set cards, American Promo cards, Jungle cards, and Fossil cards are legal.)

The formats for the different rounds will be randomly determined right

before the round begins. Each format will be used once, and only once.

Each player must have a deck for all five opening rounds, or risks

having to forfeit the round their opponent if unprepared. If overflow

forces us to have a sixth swiss style-round, it will be US Standard,

as will all rounds from the Top Eight on.

Prize Distribution:

1st Place: 6 packs

2nd Place: 4 packs

3rd-4th Place: 2 packs each

5th-8th Place: 1 pack each
