Nick was sitting on his bed with both books; the Latin one and the Latin dictionary. Sure the cloud had scared him but, he didn't think anything would be wrong with just reading it.

Without Nick knowing or seeing her, Wren sat on the other side of the room smiling, watching him. She'd been watching him all afternoon.

Nick looked up when he heard a door open and sighed. He had already started to get used to this. All day long cabnets and doors were opening and closing, sinks and lights were being turned on and off. He decided not to fight it. Just accept that something was there and it was obvious it wasn't going to hurt him. If it was then it would have already done so.

Wren quietly continued sitting across the room watching him. When she wanted to, she'd make herself known to him. For now, she was content on just watching.

She had never been more intrigued with a human. She had once been human too, but now, now she was immortal. Soon, she knew, he would too. Maybe once he did become immortal, he would want her. Or, maybe even sooner.

She was sure she could have him, it had been so long since Wren had found someone with great power. They would make a wonderful team. The others would like it as well.

Wren sat back and watched Nick run his fingers through his hair frustrated. She smiled. He had been trying to read that book all day and still was where he had begun. He was built strong and very tan. Deep oceanic blue eyes. For the first time in years, maybe even centuries; Wren felt a warmness over come her body when Nick bit his bottom lip. Yes, she wanted him. Even better though, she was going to get him.

She turned her attention back to Nick and not his body when Nick's eyes widened looking at the book. "Woah, now THIS looks familar." Nick looked at the key around his neck and saw the exact same words on it. He quickly flipped through the dictionary and found what he was looking for, "Why didn't I try looking for this in here sooner?"

His eyes scanned the page reading,"But I don't...."Nick looked at the book again and then at his key. Yes it was the same. "Hmmm it's the same. It says, 'Chosen'. The book has another word with it though." Nick flipped through the dictionary searching till he found it. 'One' Nick swallowed, "Chosen One."
