Nick continued to stare at Wren. Her green eyes were almost evil looking. They were hyponotizing.

I'm not evil Nick. I can't hurt you. I should be calling you sir not Nick. Will you forgive me?

Nick didn't even see her lips move. He shook his head,"What the.." She cut him off,"You can read thoughts. I figured that would be the best way to show you."

Nick seemed to be in deep concentration,"But I've never been able to before. Why now?"

Wren smiled, "Nothing has happened because it wasn't time. Now that it is, you will see more and more powers you have."

Wren walked away and opened a drawer. Nick could barely see her it was so dark in the room. Suddenly, Wren appeared next to him with a book,"You will need to read this to understand."

Nick looked down at the book and flipped through the pages,"But...it's in another language!"

Wren laughed softly roughly,"It's Latin. Find a Latin dictionary. It will help."

Nick sighed then looked up from the book to Wren. He caught a flicker of light in her eyes. Nick swallowed and felt himself being drawn into them. As if his body was diving into them. All he could see was those eyes. His body started to feel very heavy. A sudden surprising rush of anger spread through him. His mind too cloudy to be confused. His eyes fluttered closed.

Nick woke up with the book on his chest. He opened his eyes and looked around. Surprised, Nick blicked his eyes several times making sure they were focused. He was home!!

"W-Was it just a dream." But then he realized it wasn't when he saw the book in his lap.

Nick sighed and dressed quickly. He knew it was going to be a long day. He grabbed his keys and headed for the nearest book store to find a Latin dictionary.

Nick walked down the aisles of the huge bookstore looking. Finally he spotted the book. "Yes!" he grinned.

Nick turned around to walk to the register when he saw what looked like a white face with a cloud for a body in front of him.

Nick eyes widened and his mouth opened but no sound came out. Nick felt his body being moved and then pushed against a wall. Nick felt like he couldn't even breathe.

Nick tried to look around but it seemed like there was nothingness surrounding him and the cloud. The cloud got closer and he could see the outline of eyes..angry eyes.

"Do NOT read that book Nickolas!" The voice whispered to him. "It is nothing but evil. It will do nothing but cause pain and hurt."

Nick started to shake, the words weren't registering. The cloud noticed and took human form within an instant. The figure looked just like Wren. Nick looked confused,"Wren what.."

"There is no Wren. She is nothing but a demon trying to get you to become part of their evilness. They are all evil! Do not read that book Nickolas. God help us if you do. They will turn you Nick. Don't let them."

"But.." Again the Wren look alike interrupted him. "You will cause a great deal of pain if you choose them. They are evil Nick. EVIL!"

Then all at once, the Wren look alike was gone.
