Chapter Sixteen
I shot up off the couch in a panic. "No...no way it can't be you. NO...it's Catherine..the police they took her away..."
Kevin just moved closer as I tried to get away watching him..
"Nick..Nick..Nick..Nick...tsk tsk...you jump at every little thing. You've been so scared that you never noticed...did you?" Kevin said as I got pushed up against the wall.
"You never knew I loved you did you? You never knew I longed to have you..." Kevin said putting his hands on my face.
I was stuck inbetween him and a wall..fuck..
Kevin grabbed me and kissed me and I bit his lip, "Ow fuck Nick that wasn't very nice."
"Yea and fucking with me wasn't very nice either you stay the fuck away from me Kevin. I trusted you! God you were like my big brother. God I looked up to you!"
Kevin just laughed, "Cut the bullshit Nick, I've got you. You're mine now. I've waited for so long..too long."
I pushed him away and moved into the kitchen with him close behind. I stood infront of the counter and trailed my hand slowly underneath it and pushed the button to set off the silent alarm the detective had set up. Kevin grabbed me and turned me around,"You will be with me Nick...forever...we are meant to be..." he moved his face closer to me and I grabbed at a knife and stabbed his side.
Kevin then hit me but grabbed his side as i scrambled away and hid...
"Now Nick...you know you're gonna have to pay for that..." Kevin said walking around still holding onto his side wincing.
I just kept holding my breath as I listened to him.
"Nick...come on now...come out and I promise I won't hurt you..I love you remember? I just want to be with you..."
I layed my head back against the wall of the closet sitting on the floor...trying to not make a noise.
"NICK! Damnit where are you?" Kevin yelled then threw open the closet, "There you are."
I grabbed a shoe and threw it at him hitting his head then took an umbrella and tried stabbing him. Kevin stumbled back and I got up and ran out of the closet to the door. By that time Kevin had grabbed ahold of me from behind pulling me away from the door. I grabbed ahold of a lamp and hit him upside the head with it. Kevin fell to the floor and I opened up the door to be face to face with the detective.
I yelled at him "I was wrong it was Kevin!! He tried to kill me!!"
The detective pushed me away and moved towards Kevin who was passed out.
"He's bleeding alot. Get an ambulance." He said to the officers who had followed him in.
"But...he tried to kill me...he's the one who's been after me" I cried.
"Yes but we still have to help him. " I nodded..
I sat down on the couch yet again this time with Brian and Billy and answered questions about what had happened. They took Kevin to the hospital to treat him.
They said that they would probably have to do some sort of surgery since he had lost so much blood. I cut him really bad they said.
I didn't care...it was actually ...finally over this time..
The detective looked at me,"What do you wanna do about Catherine?"
I looked up at him,"I wanna go get her..bring her home" He nodded.
I got up off the couch and Brian put his arm around my shoulders, "What a night huh?"
I sighed."Yeah.."
"Cmon..lets go get Catherine." Brian said as we walked to the door.
