Chapter Seventeen
Weeks had passed since the whole thing with Kevin. He was still in the hospital recovering, wanting to speak with me but i refused. I didn't want to hear anything he said.
I apologized to Catherine and she forgave me..laughing a little and said she had atleast gotten to ride in a police car for the first time out of it.
All charges were dropped ofcourse. And since Kevin was still in the hospital...it was gonna be awhile till more legal actions were done.
I moved back into my place and then shortly after, Catherine moved in too. We actually got alot closer after it all ended..God I apologized over and over to her for thinking it was her.
But things are getting back to normal..finally..
So here I was in bed..waiting for Catherine to join me. I knew we were about to have seeexxxxx lol. It would be the first time since the night everything happen. I missed her so much. Damn I was gonna enjoy this. She was in the kitchen cleaning up the mess we had made but told me to go ahead and get into bed..She was awesome.
I sat back against the bed and heard the phone ring. For once I wasn't scared to pick it up.."Hello?"
"Nick...It's me Kevin."
"What the fuck are you doing Kevin?" I said into the phone my voice cracking a bit.
"Please just listen to me Nick for a second ok..Don't hang up please."
"What do you want Kevin?" I said with my teeth clentched.
"I just...I just want to apologize. For everything..You were getting those threats and note and calls and well I just I dunno I just wished it was me..And then you started seeing Catherine and I got so hurt and upset. But then when you realized it was her and she was taken away..I thought ...that I could make my move. I shouldn'y have made you think it was me Nick..I'm so sorry. I just got carried away..I just thought that maybe...now we could be together.."
"Kevin...what are you saying...?" I asked looking over at Catherine who had just walked in. She leaned against the door closing it and locking it.
"Nick...it wasn't me who was threatening you..I just thought I could take over or soemthing or make it better...maybe make it all go away I don't know...I just I love you Nick." Kevin whispered.
"But if it wasn't you...then..." I said but got cut off as Catherine walked over to me putting her hand on my shoulder.
I looked up at her and swallowed, she hung up the phone and I started shaking a little.
She smiled, "I know what you're thinking Nick...remember? I can read minds." She laughed a little, "Its so good to be .....home"
