The Need Of You

The distance rumble of thunder,
carries my mind away,
to a land of need.
The pain of needing
is tearing like knifes through my heart.
The heart of the land
lays open to all that falls into it.
The need fill it's space
like the blackness fills the night.
And still my mind roams to this land.
Searching for the thing to make you mine.
The need of you pulls like thorns on my soul.
You say your mine,
but I hold not your hand.
Your heart loves only me,
But I have yet to feel your touch.
Your lips are the kiss,
the one, I have never known.
Like the fire searches for air to feed.
I search everyday to fight the need...
