Darkness
To Life and Sadness
God hold my hands as they tremble.
Hold my heart as it breaks.
Keep my tears hid inside.
For trying not to feel is so hard,
when all you can do is feel.
When my smile has gone
and the tears is all thats left.
When living is hard
and all I wish for is sleep.
And still my eyes won't close
and the tears is all I know.
When your breath has stopped
and you fear the next day.
When work is all that you know
so you work more and more to fill the gap.
God hold me gently,
so that I may sleep forever in your lap.
For this day is done
and I fear that I will never see the sun...
