Man is Evil

I can say with little hesitation that man and woman alike
are a dispicable, selfish, self-centred, cruel and
thoughtless race. Though we deny it, it is obvious to
anyone who takes the time to open their eyes.

We say there is no god, because if there was all these
cruel things would not happen. People would not be murdered
in daylight, the homeless would not die of starvation, and
millionares wouldn't enjoy their fortunes, whilst others
struggle simply to survive. We blame this and everything
else we tend to ruin, on god. It is not god who causes this
cruelty. It is us, mankind. Whilst some of us are enjoying
our 'dirty money', others are left dying.

The old woman is crippled in the corner, starving, dying,
ever so slowing. If the starvation doesn't kill her, the
cold will. No one looks up. They just walk on by assuming
she doesn't want to work, won't pull her weight even if she
is given the chance. Assuming that she'd rather starve to
death, than spend a day working. It's these such
stereotypes which creates the cruelness of mankind. Just
one fault among many. We think she is dirty and sly, we
tell our kids to stay away from her, as though she's some
sort of criminal rather than an old dying woman just down
on her luck. Never think twice about putting even a twenty
cent coin in her frail shaking begging hands, or tossing
her a blanket, a jumper, anything to keep her warm.

A young lady stares up at the majestic trees, wondering why
anyone would ever want to cut them down, shugs and simply
walks away. We start out in this world with so many hopes,
so many dreams. Some of us even want to make the world a
better place. However when we try to do something about it
along comes mankind telling us it's ridiculus and not worth
the time. Man is afraid of change. When something is wrong,
he'll just leave it, rather than risk change.

All this is simply to convince you of man's evil tendicies,
but combined with power he will self destruct. When one man
is given such power wars begin, people starve and countries
grow poor, for as we have already seen so many times
before, man is prone to he's selfish indulgences. Rather
than just being happy with the power he has and country he
has created, he craves more power. He sacrifices lives for
power and wealth.

Philosopher Thomas Hobbes believed that man was selfish and
would do anything to better his position. Without proper
leadership man would act upon his evil impulses. Thus
governments were created to protect people from their own
impulses.

That is why governments are needed, to protect people from
their own selfish impulses. Rather than having just one
person trying to gain power, glory and riches, we have
many. By doing this, each person's selfish impulses clash,
so that for something to happen, everyone must agree. Yes,
it is true, man is actually capable of working in a team

Without a government or a leader people would run wild,
taking whatever they want, whenever they want, using
whatever means they need to. It is after all instinct!
People would starve, the weak would suffer. By creating a
central goverment there is the control and leadership man
needs to keep his selfish impulses for money and power at
bay.
