CRY OF LOVE - "PEACE PIPE"
Topic: New Tab Postings

90's rock with a 70's sound best describes North Carolina rockers Cry Of Love. The band's bluesy style has been compared to the likes of Bad Company and Free, and the similarity in style once landed them a touring spot as Bad Company's support act.

The band's existence was relatively brief, but successful; they formed in 1991 in Raleigh, and split up in 1997. In that time they produced a #1 Billboard hit -- "Peace Pipe", drawn from their debut album Brother (1993) -- a track that seems destined for long life on Classic Rock radio stations.

After playing the 1994 Monsters Of Rock festival, lead vocalist Kelly Holland left the group. He was eventually replaced, and a second album, Diamonds & Debris, was recorded. However, the group disbanded shortly afterward.

Thanks, Rick. Smile

There are a couple of things in that one I'm not sure about, but I just did those parts as best I could. It's a great song, I love it. You know, actually I still haven't had my guitar in to be fixed, I've just restrung the bad string and kept on using it for now. I'm lazy. Unfortunately, now that string buzzes, so I guess I should just get on with taking it in to get that string dislodged.
