* Deionization (DI) Tanks are used to produce high quality water when the RO is down or to
"polish" RO water when its water quality is low.
* DI Tanks should always be used in a worker-backup arrangement similar to Carbon Tanks.
* When installing or replacing DI Tanks they MUST be flushed to drain for at least 10 minutes.
* DI Tanks should NEVER be used without properly functioning Carbon Tanks.
* Since DI Tanks do not regenerate on site they must be checked before each patient shift
and the information recorded in the DI Monitoring Log.
