     In english, we learned mainly SAT prep, many words that will be on the SATs, how to write a prompt, how to format essays, we read a few stories, and we read a book called to kill a mocking bird.

    In math we learned about shapes and geometry. We learned how to use the pothagorean theorm to solve problems and differnt formulas as well. We learned some calculus and some advanced geometry. There was more, but I don't remember much about it now that it's the end of the year.

science

     In science, we learned about the cells and prokaryotic and eukaryotic cells. Eukaryotic are more complex than single celled prokaryotes. We learned about DNA and RNA, and we learned how the cells work. We learned all about the inside of the cell and we learned about how the cell functions to sustain itself. We learned how to decide how what the next generation will be and how to use math in it to decide.

    In computers we learned about the parts of the computers, such as hardware and software. We did many projects and a lot of typing exercises too. For most of the year we did typing and then we into projects, such as the dream builder project for our lives in the future.

 

     That's about it though.

    In computer academy, we learned about html code and javascript code. Later we tryed a little PHP and we did a few data flows and tryed mysql. Later we tryed a bit of mergesort,quicksort, and bubblesort, which didn't turn out so good. We did the sum of the 1st 50 intergers and a bit of binary and hexadecimal. We also did plenty of algorithms.

Spanish

     En espanol, aprendi sobre las comidas, los animales, familia, el tiempo, las estaciones, los ropas, el cuerpo, y los juguetes.

     In spanish we learned about foods, animals, family, weather, seasons, clothing, the body, and toys.

We also learned about greetings, time expressions, and verbs and they're placed in a sentence.

   In music, first of all, we only had it part of the schoolyear before taking on art. We took so many notes in that class that were graded. We rarely sang any songs but when we did it was okay. We did a play type thing that was fun and U enjoyed it a whole lot.

    In art,we didn't learn anything. Sure they may have shown us a few movies on collage artists, but was I suppose to remember that? I was so bored that it seemed to slip in one ear and out the other. Other than learning we did many pictures, most of which we never complete. Thank god its over. Thank god!:P

Social Studies

Now Playing: What I did in social studies '08
Topic: School
     In social studies, I learned about the dark ages and the era of the church. We learned about the medevil ages, middle ages, and the black pleague that led to the renensance. During the renensance, the exploration era began and then the scientific revolution. He told us of the discovery of other places outside of Europe and the founders of North America and South America. We learned of the war between the natives of America and the white man and of how european's diseases killed almost their whole population. We learned of the slave trade, ww1 and ww2, and how the country became independent from great Britain. Now I am done with the class till september!:)

Mcscs is a good school but has its problems. The school is too small, they need better lunches and a building for high school alone well that's about all.
