Testimonials
Here, I am putting together a number of testimonials in order to help support our cause. If you would like to help, see "Contacting Us" for information. Remember, we need all the support we can get.
Ex-SRS workers must stand up and fight Letter to the Editor The U.S. Department of Labor has turned down, and likely will continue to turn down, the call for help for former employees who became sick after years of work at Savannah River Site. I love my country, but this makes the sixth time I have been denied compensation; I have paid out more than $50,000 in drug store bills. They know we cannot get well. At the most, all that can happen is that we can be treated - if we can pay for the treatment. They know that if they wait it out, we will become too weak and give up.
Do you want to fight or die? It's come down to that. How can we fight? By requesting help from our leaders: U.S. Reps. Charlie Norwood and John Barrow; U.S. Sens. Johnny Isakson and Saxby Chambliss; and state Sen. Jim Whitehead.
Sick workers must be willing to contact these leaders so we can set a time and place for them to come to Augusta. Use you phones and e-mail daily.
The only way we are going to get medical help is to fight the U.S. Department of Energy. If we were just a few people crying for our way, then we shouldn't get medical help. But it's not just one person with one problem.
We must become one strong group for our leaders to help us. Bobby Bragg, Augusta
What I found out is that you must request in a written request for your leader to help us. I didnt have the names and address or e.mails if a large a group is willing to fight. Your leader will have to come down here and hear our medical needs dept. This will be a fight, not a dance lesson. You can tell what happened to you and other people can tell their story. This a group of people telling their story of what happened to them at D.O.E sites. This is not a legal page. It is your story. If you can tell your story, what will happen to you. If you call or write, they will send a letter asking you what type you need. Are they are willing to come to Augusta; if we asked them to come, have a least 100 people, if they want help, we can get a meeting place if we need to and they will bring labor people if needed. We can go from the east to the west and it be wil the same story just different names and dates but you can request a hearing and other workers can come to your hearing and testify. so far you e-mail all of the e mail in orther so tht we can talk with all doe sick workers
