Chapter 1

Chapter 1Taylor stood up and looked at himself in his full-length mirror. "I'm so hot," Taylor said as he stuck his ass out checked it out in the mirror. "Daisy Duke ain't got nothing on me," he said as he admired his outfit which was a pair of blue denim daisy duke cut-offs and an extremely tight midriff t-shirt.

Taylor fluffed his hair once more and grabbed his video camera and portable CD player. Taylor hurried down the stairs and went into the garage where he grabbed a bucket and some old sponges. He slipped out the back door and filled the bucket with water and powder soap.

Taylor headed to the front of the house and it seemed that the entire school was outside of Valerie Malone's house. She was the most popular girl in school. Taylor placed his camera on top of the mailbox and hit play on his boom box. 'These Boots Are Made For Walking' by Jessica Simpson was the first song playing. Taylor took out the sponge and ran it along the sides of Isaac's minivan as he swayed his hips from left to right. He turned around and shimmied at the camera.

He put his hands on his thighs and had his back to the camera as he shook his ass. He continued soaping the car as the next song came on which was 'I'm Too Sexy,' by Right Said Fred.

Zac looked out his window with a horrified expression on his face. "Ugh," he yelled.

Isaac was in the bathroom shaving, wearing only a towel when he rushed into Zac's room. "What is it? What's the matter?" he said frantically.

"Look," Zac said as he pointed to Taylor.

At this point they could hear the thong song and Taylor was singing, "Thighs like what, baby move your but," as he backed his ass up into the van and covered himself with water. Isaac ran down the stairs quickly and straight out the front door.

"Taylor what the hell are you doing?" he said.

"It's time for my close-up. I want everyone to see my hot mouth," he said as the heard 'Back That Thing Up,'. Isaac grabbed the camera from him and shut the music off.

Monica and Tabitha were rounding their driveway. Tabitha breathed in deeply at the sight of Isaac in only a bath towel.

Taylor was sopping wet and really excited. He waved to Valerie across the street that had the entire school on her front lawn. "Hi Valerie. Did you like my dancing?" Taylor called.

Isaac then realized that not only was he is in his bath towel, but he was out front in front of his brother, their two friends, and his brother's entire high school was staring at them from across the street. Valerie's face turned red and she tried to get out Taylor's view. "Isaac you ruined my video project," Taylor whined.

"I thought you were going to do me a favor by washing my car," Isaac grumbled.

"I was really doing a video mix, and I know that me being all wet and soapy would be hot, so I figured I'd kill to birds with one stone," Taylor said.

"Well you shouldn't have," Isaac said angrily, "Monica I'm going to get dressed. I'll see you in a few."

"Taylor you are such a gay bastard," Monica said to him.

"Huh," Taylor gasped as he put his hand up to his chest.

"Monica can’t you be nice. Come on Taylor let's go inside and get you cleaned up," Tabitha said.

"I'm so misunderstood," Taylor said as he stood in front of his full-length mirror.

Tabitha could see that his fingernails were painted with fuchsia polish. "Taylor you are a very hard person to understand, but you know how much I love you," Tabitha said.

"Sup," Zac said as he nodded to Monica.

"Hi Zac," she said giddily.

Zac put his nametag on his shirt. "Work fucking sucks my ass," Zac said.

"Yeah, but you're so strong and you help people," Zac smiled.

"I'll talk to you later," he said as he smiled at her one last time.

Monica was still fantasizing about Zac even after he left when Isaac brought her back to reality. "So are you going to be my date for the evening?" Isaac asked.

"Yeah, where are we going?" she asked.

"I'm taking you to Francesco's because you absolutely deserve it," he said.

"You're a doll."

Zac walked up to one of the registers while dragging a flatbed behind him. 'You're so strong and you help people.' Monica's words brought a smile to his face.

Isaac pulled the chair out for Monica and pushed it behind her. "You know I can't do this for you forever, eventually you're going to have to get a boyfriend of your own and stop using me as a pawn in your sick game," Isaac joked.

He looked at Monica and he felt as if his insides were melting away. She was his best friend and he fell in love with her. "I don't know what you're talking about. I'm innocent," she exclaimed.

"You are just like an angel," he said quietly under his breath.

"What was that?" she asked.

"Uh, I think the eggplant parm is the way to go," he said as he blushed lightly.

Tabitha layed on her bed and stared at the ceiling. She squeezed her eyes shut and thought of Isaac. "Why can Monica not see that he is in love with her? He never even remembers my name. It's always hi… uh. I just want him to be happy so she needs to just be with him and get it over with already," Tabitha said aloud to no one in particular.

The food had finally arrived when Isaac's cell went off. "I hate to be rude, but business calls. I do apologize," he said.

"Yo, you need to get down here. This place is whack. Shit is hitting the fan," Jamal said.

"Okay I'll be there in ten," Isaac said.

He clicked his phone off and turned to face Monica. "It's work, apparently there's a situation that needs my attention. So I'll pay the bill and you can take your food home in a doggy bag and I will join you at your house as soon as I'm through," he said.

"I'm going over to Tabitha's for girls night and I'll pay," Monica offered.

"No," he said as he snatched the bill away from her and put his Discover card in the folder.

"Who's Tabitha?" he asked as he looked her cluelessly.

"She's only been your next door neighbor for the last eleven years, and she's probably at your house everyday hanging out with that faggot you call a brother," she said.

"huh," he asked.

"You know Taylor," she said.

Just then the waitress came and took the bill. "Oh. Listen I gotta go, but thanks," he said. "No, Thank you," she said.

"Anytime," he said as he gave her his best smile.

Taylor put on a Michael Jackson cd and started tap dancing in front of his full-length mirror, when he saw the light on at Tabitha's house who lived next door. He climbed down the ladder that led out of his window and climbed up the one that led up to Tabitha's room. "Knock, knock," Taylor said as he poked his head in the window.

"Oh good lord," Monica said as she rolled her eyes.

"What?" Taylor said sounding so offended.

"What the hell do you want?" she grumbled at him.

"Duh I'm crashing girls night," he said as he climbed through the window.

Tabitha sat up. "But Taylor you're not a girl," Tabitha said.

Taylor looked at her and his face fell. He looked really hurt. "I'm sorry,"

"Hey what the hell is on your disgusting toes?" Monica said.

"It's Fantastic Fuchsia," he said as he wiggled his toes in her face.

"Taylor you're feet are disgusting," Monica said.

"And you're a total whore bitch," he said.

"Taylor, that's so mean. Look her and I need to talk, so go back to your own house," Tabitha said.

"That's harsh," he said as he climbed back down the window and up into his own.

Once Taylor was out of sight, Tabitha turned to Monica. "So how was your date with Isaac?" she asked.

"It wasn't a date," Monica said.

"Yes it was. I can't believe you don't see the way he looks at you," Tabitha said trying everything to fight her tears.

"You're insane and it wasn't a date," Monica said again sticking by her story.

"Who paid?" Tabitha asked.

"He did. With his Discover card," Monica said smiling.

"Oh my God, you like him," Tabitha said.

"No, I don't,"

"Yes you do, look at the way you are smiling."

"Let me put it this way. If he did like me which he doesn't, I'd date him." Monica admitted.

"Well, isn't that cute. Two best friends destined to be together. My head hurts I'm going to sleep," Tabitha said as she flicked off her bedside lamp.
