Retired and enjoying every minute of it - for a total of 31 days so far!

I taught junior high at Start School in Richland Parish for 17 years – mostly science. I spent the last 10 years with ULM’s teacher professional development center working as coordinator of various state professional development grants and two National Science Foundation projects – Delta Rural Systemic Initiative and DAMSALS2. My job also included contract work for K-12 teacher professional development across the state with a focus on science and information technology. I married my best friend, Woody Armfield. When I married Woody, I inherited two beautiful girls and serve as a full time step-mom. Both girls are now in college - Lacey is a beginning junior and Amber is a sophomore at ULM. Woody and I both retired this summer and have recently moved to our retirement home on top of a mountain in the Ozarks…where we plan to finish our house, fish, and hike…a lot.

Barbara, you have got Scott Miller wanting to take a vacation to the Ozarks in "Arizona". I had to explain to him that the Ozarks are in Arkansas and surronding states and not out west. I guess your address in AZ confused him plus he never was very good in geography.

Let us know when the house is finish so we can come and visit and go fishing and hiking.

BTW, aren't you too young to be retired?
