1) I believe in ONE GOD, NOT THREE !The consistent message of the Bible is that God is ONE. Deut 4:35 Unto thee it was showed, that thou mightest know that the LORD he is God; there is none else beside him. Deut 6:4 Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God is one LORD: Mark 12:29 And Jesus answered him, The first of all the commandments is, Hear, O Israel; The Lord our God is one Lord: What confuses some is that God the Father has expressed His will by means of His Word [ The Lord Jesus Christ] by the power of His Spirit [The Holy Spirit]. So we have God, His Word, and His Spirit. There is thus one Godhead with 3 distinct personages. Scriptures: Gen 1:1 In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. 2 And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters. 3 And God said, Let there be light: and there was light. Psalm 33:6 By the word of the LORD were the heavens made; and all the host of them by the breath of his mouth. John 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 The same was in the beginning with God. 3 All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made. John 1:14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth. 2) Jesus - The Son of God-The Bible does NOT teach that God "had a baby" with the virgin Mary! That is blasphemy! God is spirit, so the term, Son of God is used with a spiritual sense. The term implies a unique relationship.-The Bible uses the term "Son of God", so I can use it too! -Some things are a mystery. But remember that God can do anything! Only God can truly reveal the mystery of Christ to a person.
Col 2:2 That their hearts might be comforted, being knit together in love, and unto all riches of the full assurance of understanding, to the acknowledgement of the mystery of God, and of the Father, and of Christ; 3 In whom are hid all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge. 3) Jesus is God:Rev 19:13 And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and his name is called The Word of God. Heb 1:1 God who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets, 2 Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds; 3 Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high; Col 1:15 Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature: 2Cor 4:4 In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.
So - We read of the ONE TRUE GOD, who is FULLY REVEALED IN JESUS.
