PGSM - Act Fifteen
Usagi gives the recap about her almost turning into a youma, and how Ami saved her from that, and then how Tux saved her from being hit by a sword. This is making everyone look at Tux differently... right?
Makoto: He's still a thief.
Ami: I don't think he's *bad*
Rei: I think he's ominous
Luna: we'd better stay away from him.
Well, so much for a new light.
Minako and Artemis go home, to see a youma lurking out in the street. She's getting tired of being chased. And she's wearing far too short of a skirt.
Theme song
At a breakfast of cheese omelette, Usagi learns that Anio Minako's home was robbed. Some important jewels were stolen.
Mamoru is also watching the story on the news, where they say that it has been a long time since they have heard from Sailor V. (Not since act 12) He remembers seeing Sailor V turn into the Moon Princess, Sailor Venus, and he wonders if she's the princess from his dream.
But he can't help thinking about Usagi... he's starting to like her.
His phone interrupts his thoughts. Whatever it is, it's an alarming phone call.
In the Dark Kingdom, Beryl calls Kunzite on his failure. He doesn't seem too bothered - the senshi were stronger than he expected, but he'll get them eventually.
Nephrite isn't impressed. Kunzite is a failure, it was a mistake to bring him here. He should just go back to being dormant.
Kunzite manages to turn that argument on it's head. He points out that it was Beryl's decision to revive him, so does that mean that Beryl is the foolish one?
Nephrite isn't quite sure how to respond to that one. He makes interesting sputtering sounds.
Beryl decides she's had enough of this argument, and she orders Kunzite to go collect more energy.
Before he goes, he tells Nephrite that several jewels were stolen from the Princess - maybe even the MSC.
Nephrite growls.
The next day at school, Usagi and Naru discuss Minako. Naru says that according to her mom, a lot of times the goods sold at auctions are stolen... but auctions are fun anyway. Naru invites Usagi to one on Saturday. Usagi is all excited - in her usual fashion.
Ami arrives, and after flashing back to the last episode, things are slightly awkward between her and Naru. Naru invites Usagi for kareoke, and the Usagi invites Ami, but at the Look on Naru's face, Ami declines.
At Crown, Motoki is trying to set up his pet turtle with a girl turtle, by showing him pictures, and speaking in a "female" voice.
The two discuss Usagi. Motoki thinks that she doesn't feel anything for him after all and it seems that he feels likewise. Motoki, in one of his rare moments of intelligence, says that it seems that Mamoru is becoming more and more interested in her.
Just as they are talking about her, Usagi, Naru and a bunch of random girls enter. Naru brings up the boy that Usagi mentioned in Act Nine. This is rather awkward because Mamoru's watching, and Usagi already knows that she feels a little strange around him... sort of like the way she feels around Tux.
Which makes sense if you think about it.
Anyway, Motoki asks how she's feeling, since she passed out yesterday and Mamoru had to carry her home. That's news to Usagi - she doesn't remember, as she was unconscious at the time.
This sets the girls off giggling, but it rather embarrasses Mamoru.
In the senshi room, Luna is on the computer, Rei is practicing some sort of... something from a book she's reading, and Makoto is staring off into space, while drinking something out of a mug. Ami arrives, and all three girls talk about how Crown feels like home to them now.
This is the first time I noticed that they have color-coded chairs.
Usagi isn't coming, Ami reveals, She's gone off with some friends from school. Rei senses that there's more to it than that, Ami seems upset.
Naru, Usagi and her other friends are singing: C'est la vie of course. But while she is singing, Naru is plotting
The next day at the auction, Usagi and Naru arrive, but Naru says that she's not staying, but not to worry, Usagi won't be alone.... Naru invited Mamoru.
She has done her research, giving Usagi Mamoru's cell phone number, his address, his birthday and his blood type. And with that, Naru hurries off, leaving Usagi alone with Mamoru.
He's under the impression that she has something important to tell him, but she tries to explain that Naru set this all up.
While she is explaining, she backs into some people exiting an elevator, knocking a case of jewelry out of their hands.
As she helps pick it up, she recognizes some of the earrings as belonging to Minako.
The three men gather up the jewels and hurry off in a suspicious looking manner - they must be the thieves who stole Minako's jewelry and are planning on auctioning it off. They certainly don't look like very good thieves.
Usagi hurries after them, but Mamoru stops her - just what does she think she's going to do?
Mamoru tells her this is a job for the police.
Luckily, there's one right outside, so she runs out to tell him. But he doesn't believe her.
Usagi says she has to take matters into her own hands. Once again Mamoru asks her what she thinks she's going to do, and she blurts out without thinking that she will transform into Sailor Moon...
The next bit needs no embellishment by me. The two step away from each other, and it is dead silence for a moment. Then Mamoru points to the sky and says "Ah... a bird"
Usagi, staring at the ground, says "Ah... grass"
Scene change to Usagi and Mamoru sneaking around the parking garage. He says he isn't helping her, he just wants to get back at the rude cop, but I doubt it. Suddenly he pulls Usagi to the ground - because no one will see them if they crouch - as said cop walks past.
Rei and Ami are reading in Crown when Makoto arrives. Once again, Usagi hasn't come by. Rei gives Ami an intense look - I don't think it takes psychic power to know that something is bothering Ami.
Luna is upset by what she sees on her computer - there has been a string of missing people cases.
The thieves enter the parking garage. Aparantly Mamoru and Usagi have a Plan that they worked out while the viewers were still at crown.
Mamoru goes over to their car and raps on the window. When he goes to talk to the driver he throws a flare into the car. (I'm not sure where he got one of those from...)
Their car fills with smoke, and they exit it, looking for Mamoru.
Usagi, wearing a motorcycle helmet sneaks over to their car and grabs the briefcase. But they see her and rush after her.
She trips over her shoes (it seems) and falls, but Mamoru shows up on his bike. She gets on an they speed away.
They escape, breathless and happy. Mamoru says he hasn't had so much fun in such a long time.
Then they realize that they're getting along and stuff, so they both fall silent and look away from each other. Romantic tension anybody?
Meanwhile, the other three senshi decide to investigate the missing people.
And we're back to Usagi and Mamoru. The police officer from before approaches them, telling them to give him the case. Turns out he's not just any policeman, he's a youma-possessed-policeman.
The youma comes out and draws a sword. Mamoru rushes to protect Usagi, fighting with the youma. But he's not as strong without his tuxedo on, and he doesn't have his super-strong-cane, so he doesn't do too well. He gets hurt and falls off a bridge.
The youma grabs the case and runs off. Usagi is a bit torn, chase the youma or go make sure that Mamoru is still alive. She Makes Up. Transforming seems to also teleport her to a place where she can stand on top of escalators so that she can make the best possible entrance.
She uses her Boomerang but the youma hits it back at her, and then attacks her with it's sword.
Moon manages to use her Moon Wand to block the sword, and she finally starts to gain the upper hand. Moon Twilight Flash finishes the youma off and Usagi investigates the contents of the case. She's pretty sure none of the jewels is the MSC.
Minako walks along the street. Since she has her hat down over her eyes she is able to avoid her fans.
Turns out she staged the theft so that she and Artemis could go into hiding. I'm not sure how that works...
Minako is glad that the guy with Moon didn't get hurt too badly. (He fell off a BRIDGE! How is that not being hurt badly?) She says something cryptic about how if anything happens to Moon, the time they have bought will be in vain.
Usagi bandages Mamoru's arm with another of her pink handkerchiefs - she has many of those - and she asks him if he's okay. (He fell off a BRIDGE! How can he be okay?) He says he is.
They get on his bike and head off to the police station to turn in the jewels.
Meanwhile, Makoto is catching a cold. The three have been standing around for awhile in the suspicious area but nothing has happened.
Rei finally asks Ami if anything happened between her and Usagi. Ami says nothing, but she says it just a little too quickly.
Rei doesn't really believe her, but before she can say anything, a wave of what looks like sand approaches the girls. It is just as stable as sand, as a hole opens up under Makoto. Ami and Rei grab hold of her.
In the center of the hole is a youma wearing a beret. That is quite scary.
It throws out vines and wraps them around Makoto, trying to pull her in.
