PGSM - Act Twelve
This time, Minako, Sailor V - the Moon Princess gives the recap... even though she wasn't there.
She also talks about meeting Usagi - Sailor Moon, and it flashes back to Usagi bouncing around in a tizzy. Minako is not impressed with Sailor Moon
Theme song.
In the hospital, Minako is absently poking at her computer in a rather depressed manner. The Voice tells her that she still has her mission, even if Sailor Moon isn't impressive. We see a cat shadow on the window.
To remind us of what happened in the last minute of the last episode, Minako's youma-posessed-manager is wandering the hospital in a menacing fashion.
At Crown the senshi discuss the latest developments. The enemy and Tux both seem to know things about Sailor-V-the-Princess, although Makoto doesn't care about the "thief" That statement prompts Usagi to chase her around the room.
Ami and Rei ignore this, as they wonder why Sailor V hasn't joined their team. (Perhaps because she hasn't turned up much).
They are interrupted by Usagi's terrible discovery - she left her notebook, signed by Minako, at the hospital. And so, without hesitation, she hurries off to get it.
The youma-posessed-manager enters Minako's room and ties her up with some white rope, demanding to know where the MSC is, but she says she doesn't know.
The crescent moon weapon she had in the first episode appears in her hand and she uses it to cut the rope. She kicks him into very not sturdy wall, but that only stuns him for a minute. But it's long enough for her to run away... and attract the attention of a lot of fans.
This means that Usagi can't get in, unless she uses her phone to disguise herself as a doctor.
She walks in just in time to see Minako running away from her manager... again.
Usagi snags Minako and then dresses up as Santa, hiding Minako in her sleigh. This works long enough to get them out of the hospital, but it doesn't fool the youma for long.
The two girls call a taxi and speed away from the hospital.
While in the taxi, Usagi lets out a sigh of relief, then realizes that she's nearly sitting on Minako, so she moves over a bit. Minako asks if she felt anything strange about the manager, but Usagi says no. She knows what it's like, sometimes idols run away to escape the pressure of being famous.
Minako sighs inwardly. How could Sailor Moon not sense a youma?
In the Dark Kingdom, Nephrite is harassing Zoisite about his latest failed venture. Nephrite accuses him of not being up for the job. Zoisite is more concerned with that strange man, so he doesn't respond. Nephrite storms off in a huff.
Zoisite goes back to just thinking.
Mamoru is hard at work thinking as well. He flashes back to the scene with Zoisite, as well as his dream. He's sure that she's a princess. (Actually, The Princess, since there seems to be only one). All of this half-remembering gives him a head ache.
Minako and Usagi get out of the taxi and Usagi follows Minako, despite best attempts not to. As she's going, she continues to fan-girl quietly to herself. Minako still can't believe this is Sailor Moon, and when she turns around to ask Usagi what she wants, she backs right into a wet paint sign. Of course she's wearing white... well... now she's wearing blue.
Of course Minako's prompt reaction to getting paint all over her jacket is to go to a clothing store, try on three different out fits, and end up with something white and fuzzy.
Usagi takes her old coat - which rather confuses Minako.
A sales clerk informs Minako that a horde of fans has gathered outside. Before Minako can say anything, Usagi pulls her hair out of her buns, puts on Minako's old coat and takes her hat, saying that she'll distract the fans while Minako makes a run for it. Despite Minako's protests, Usagi pulls the hat over her eyes and hurries out into the mob.
Minako watches Usagi lead the mob away, and then heads out the back door.
Usagi leads them on a chase for awhile before revealing that she's not really Minako. The crowd leaves quickly... and Usagi buys some cake from a vender.
She finds Minako later at their prearranged meeting place. (Usagi is quite excited to find that Minako is actually there.) But somehow, Minako's hat made it back to her before Usagi did.
Anyway, Usagi assures Minako that it was fun leading the fans all over the place. Then they share cake.
Minako is still worried. She asks Usagi if there's something more important that she should worry about, but once again Usagi assures her that "Anio Minako is number 1!"
Minako is being a bit silly here, Usagi doesn't know that she's Sailor V, so why would Usagi act like Sailor Moon?
The two girls make an important discovery - they eat cake the same way. So they share a bonding experience. Minako can't remember the last time that she was able to relax like this, what with being a Pop Idol by day and a Champion of Justice by night, and occasionally a Moon Princess.
And then for no apparent reason, she starts to sing her new song. But she stops, even though Usagi wants to hear the rest of it. Now is not time for singing - it is time for cake.
In the Dark Kingdom, Beryl is worried about Zoisite. He's not doing much of anything... just sitting there quietly at his piano. He's not even playing!
Nephrite reports that Zoisite has remembered something. Beryl tells him to stay away from Zoisite - she doesn't want to hear anything about this remembering foolishness. She confuses Nephrite and then sends him away.
Zoisite has started playing again. He remembers something from long ago.
Beryl interrupts his thoughts and for the first time we see how she controls him.
Nephrite is jealous. He wants to win Beryl's heart. He calls for his youma and orders it to go berserk and generally create trouble. Youmas are good at that. It wanders around taking energy from random people.
Ami and Rei are on the case, and they summon Usagi, who isn't too far.
Usagi reluctantly says good bye to Minako and hurries off.
Minako calls for the Voice: Artemis. She says she's getting tired of hiding. Since the enemy is looking for the Princess, she will give them one.
So she runs off. As she runs, her clothes magically change into Sailor V. Which brings up the question, if she does a transformation like the rest, why is she keeping her costume in a suitcase in Act Eleven?
And again, she runs with her arms straight out.
A lot of time must pass, because suddenly it is dark while Mercury and Mars chase the Youma.
Usagi is confused. She thought the Manager was just strange - not youma-possessed. But Mars says he is, and she's smart like that, so Usagi Makes Up.
The three senshi strikes their poses three times in rapid succession. Then the youma abandons the manager so they can have a proper fight scene, with lots of running and jumping and cartwheels.
This youma is slick though, it has armor, so it deflects the Tiara Boomerang.
Zoisite comes to, sort of. From the reverb in his voice, it sounds like he's still in a sort of trance. He is also expressionless while he plays.
Back to the fight, the senshi play jump rope with the youma for a few minutes before getting tied up in it's white ropes.
Now that the girls are secure, Nephrite comes out and demands to know where they are hiding the princess. He grabs Sailor Moon, insisting that she tell him where the Princess is. Those who are familiar with the show know that this is ironic.
A voice interrupts him and they all look up to see Sailor V, who cuts the senshi free.
She takes off her mask and glows with a bright golden light, so bright the others have to shield their eyes. Nephrite hides behind his cape.
When the light fades Sailor Venus stands there - complete with crown and crescent moon on her forehead.
Just to make sure everybody knows, Luna runs out and shouts "Princess!"
Artemis, Minako/V/Venus's white cat, hops onto the scene. He's the Voice we've been hearing. He introduces her as "From the Moon Kingdom, Princess of the Silver Millennium, keeper of the MSC: Sailor Venus!"
Nobody ever wonders why Sailor Venus is the Princess of the Moon and Sailor Moon is not.
Nephrite orders his youma to take the MSC, and another fight scene follows. The youma is destroyed by Moon Twilight Flash and Nephrite skulks off.
All is not well, as ominous piano music heralds the arrival of the Soul Flight form of Zoisite. He moves slowly, raising a knife to attack Venus, but Tux blocks his way, and Zoisite falls back.
Venus uses an unnamed attack that looks like it should be Crescent Beam and hits Zoisite dead on. That's enough to wake him from his trance, and in a mildly creepy zombie-like manner he staggers towards Tux, addressing him as "Master Endymion."
Then Zoisite fades out with an unpleasant gurgling sound.
Tux flashes back to his dream for probably the fifth time that episode.
Zoisite is passed out on his piano, and he turns into a stone, just like Jadiete did in Act Nine.
Moon, Mars and Mercury stare at Venus and Tux stares off into space as the episode ends.
