Hello!

My name is Anita Honkanen and I have had standard poodles since 1981.
And before that I had a miniature. So I can say to be a real poodle fancier.
My miniature was a very dear pet, never shown. He was from old Finnish kennel Kotitalon and his name was Kotitalon Juri, after Juri Gagarin. He lived 14 years and when he died, I was looking a bigger poodle and so I got my first standard Fin Ch Marmaloo Donald Duke. I called him Nero, because in that time I visited very often Italy and "nero" means black in Italian.

Nero’s breeder, Mrs. Gunnel af Björkesten, kennel Marmaloo, asked me to take Nero to some shows and so all began. After the first show I was "sold". Nero was twice BIS 2 in Finnish Poodle Club Show and he was a real gentleman.
Soon I bought another standard male from kennel Detonator’s. His whole name was Detonator’s Grand Slam, "Romeo" and he was Fin & S Ch and W-84 & -85. With him I continued to show.

I visited Mrs. af Björkesten for cutting her dogs and in that time she had a young std Alexandra Lyle.
