Our trip to Ripley's Aquarium of the Smokies in Gatlinburg, TN

The most photographed view in the Smokies lookout tower in Maggie Valley, NC
Graham in the snow at the overlook in Maggie Valley
On the road. It snowed almost all the way over to Gatlinburg.
Mountain view in NC
Graham is waiting in the car because it is snowing and about 20 degrees outside. I'm taking pictures of the view from an overlook on the Foothills Parkway near Cosby, TN

We stop at a gas station in Cosby, TN for a snack and find this beautiful creek
After a 90 mile detour (the Smoky Mountain National Park roadway was closed due to ice and snow) we finally make it to the aquarium. Hello!
Graham is checking out the exhibits
A goliath grouper
Ripley's Aquarium has the longest underwater viewing tunnel in the world. Despite the weather, the place was packed and very noisy.
All this way to see some fish! Graham in the viewing tunnel
This sawfish was lying on top of the tunnel as we passed underneath.
Some kind of grouper?
"Aaarrrg! Pollution!!!"
Graham sizes up the barracuda.
I think our favorite was the jellyfish
Amazing!
It is very peaceful to watch the deadly jellyfish.
