=============
This album boasts some of the most recognizable tracks in the history of the band. Strutter, Nothin To Lose, Firehouse,Cold Gin, Deuce and Black Diamond would be songs that would become a staple of KISSs live shows for many decades to come. The album still stands up and sounds fresh by todays standards. The highlights of this album are definitely Strutter, Deuce, Cold Gin and the incomparable Black Diamond. Black Diamond is a strange hybrid that starts off soft and smooth but escalates into a very frenzied tune. A song that is very over looked on this album is Let Me Know which is the first song to have Paul and Gene share lead vocals. This album was ill received by critics and the record buying public. The bands reputation was that they were a live band, that really didnt sell records. A very good debut album that introduced the world to the classic KISS sound. 7.5/10
