Wood Restoration

Let us restore your rotted, broke, and falling apart wood items. That's right, not tear it out and replace it, but actually restore it! And I don't mean restored to untouchable 'museum quality pieces' or some delicate memorabilia, but completely restored and repaired to fully functional parts, often stronger and far more durable than the original wood!

Do you have wood structures around your home that are rotted or severly damaged, cracked, or broken? Items like windows and window sills, thresholds, window and door frames, columns, posts, stair steps, railings, balustrades, shutters, porches, gazebos, countertops, mouldings, sculptures, handles and knobs, or any kind of structural or decorative wood components? Do you live in a historic district that restricts repairs and construction? Do you have wood that cannot be replaced because of size, shape, or maybe for artistic reasons? Are you looking for someone who can repair this kind of damage WITHOUT having to tear out or replace the wood? If you answered 'yes' to any of these questions, THEN LOOK NO FURTHER... Hard to beleive? Well, read on and then let the before and after pictures speak for themselves.

How do we do it?
Using a series of two-part, chemically reactive processes, we can completely restore just about anything that is wood! A piece of deteriorated wood that would crumble under finger pressure can be impregnated with a special two-part resin that hardens after penetrating the wood to restore rigidity and durability, reinforce, rebuild, water-proof and insect-proof the wood to a level superior to that of the original wood. Then, for areas of missing material, we mix a non-shrinking, light-weight resin-paste that is highly dimensionally stable, heat and chemical resistant, and is unaffected by water and insects. It is used to fill in or build up areas of virtually any thickness and shape. It can then be sawed, nailed, planed, sanded and machined just like wood. The result is a pemanently bonded repair that, once primed and painted, will look as it did when brand new, and is stronger than the original wood!

The wood consolidation compounds and the structural adhesive wood replacement compounds we use are formulated with the most advanced materials specifiaclly for the structural and decorative restoration of damaged wood, as well as the substitution, modification and/or addition of missing wood. The products we use have the longest success history in their class nationwide, and have been adopted for standard specifications by many agencies of the US Government, as well as many architects and museums. Take a look at what it can do...

Before and After Pictures
The corner of this fancy porch is rotted and needs replaced. Instead, it's restored to the original shape without tearing out or replacing any of the highly decorative trim elements. What a difference!

Here is a totaly destroyed window frame that appears to be completely un-repairable! Restoration of just about anything, no mater how badly damaged, is now easily achived. Unbelievable!

This column was completely rotted at the bottom. Instead of replacing the entire column, a structural restoration is performed and the column base is now actually stronger than the original.

This process is like nothing else available. Because of its strength and durability, it is different from common wood fillers as a permanent solution because it will fill cracks, holes, and voids of ANY SIZE without the shrinking and crumbling typical of common wood fillers.
