Figure 4.14. Once again we are dealing with the 4 terminal network equivalent of the BJT. On the left are the C and B terminals with the C on the bottom. On the right are the C and E terminals with C on the bottom. On the left to the left of the terminals a resistor connects from C to B. This resistor is labeled R g. Between the sets of terminals a resistor labeled h sub I e connects between the B and E terminals. Also inside the terminals the current source is connected between the C and E terminals. The arrow is pointing up toward the E terminal. On the right, outside of the terminals an AC generator connects between the C and E terminals. The generator is labeled simply V and an arrow indicates that the current I is flowing into the top of the generator, out of the E terminal. End verbal description.
