Carol and George
Carol Kline began a gospel music ministry over 15 years ago using a karaoke and some accompaniment tapes. She expanded that ministry over the years to include popular and country songs, then put together a Tribute to Patsy Cline Show featuring many well-known songs of the famed country singer. She has since added a Classic Country Show, highlighting songs by many of the best loved country singers, as well as a Classic Cabaret Show, singing popular favorites from Broadway, the 40s, 50s and 60s. Carol has opened with her Cabaret Show for such big names as The Flamingos, her Country Show with the Hager Twins (Hee Haw), and shared the stage with such country greats as John Conley, Jeannie Seeley, Little Jimmy Dickens, Jimmy C. Newman and Stonewall Jackson.
Originally from Delaware, Carol came to Pennsylvania in 1970. She married George Kline, a Lebanon, PA native, in 1981 and believes their relationship is "a precious gift from God!" George is an accomplished musician, but fully enjoys his role as sound technician and musical advisor for his wife, especially since his retirement from the electric company in March 2001. The Klines are active members of Zion United Methodist Church in Myerstown, PA, and attend St. John United Methodist Church in Sebring, Florida.

In 1974, Carol earned a degree in cosmetology and became a licensed beautician. She has also been an executive secretary, but eventually decided public relations work and writing were her best suits. With nearly 20 years in public relations, she served as director of community affairs for over ten years in the health care field. She studied journalism, broadcasting and marketing at Lebanon Valley College in the 1980s, and holds a certificate in non-fiction writing. Her weekly column of humor entitled "Lifestyles" appeared in The Lebanon Daily News Sunday Magazine (PA) for over three years in the 1980s. She researched and authored "Polishing the Brass: A Professional Development Seminar" in 1988, which she presented through the Lebanon Valley Chamber of Commerce for over five years, in addition to presentations through four other Pennsylvania county chambers of commerce. She even hosted her own country radio show for several months in 2001 on WWSM-AM 1510 in Lebanon, PA, until Florida show commitments made it impossible to continue. Quite obviously, singing is a passion!
In the early 1980s, George and Carol sang with a gospel group from Harrisburg, PA, known as "The Joyful Heirs." They then performed with a country string group featuring George's talent on the five-string banjo. Carol continued singing on her own and, in July 1999, she performed what would be the first of numerous dinner shows in Pennsylvania and released her first CD entitled "Remembering Patsy... Always." "Touch Through Me" was released in May 2000 and features some of the best loved old-time gospel favorites. A Christmas CD and cassette -- "Christmas With Carol" -- was completed December 1, 2001. The next recording (entitled "A Sweet Mix") became available October 2002 and features two duets with George and Carol. Until 2002, the Klines averaged nearly 80 shows each year in Pennsylvania, and have now performed all over Florida, in addition to performances in Ohio, Kentucky, Indiana, Delaware and Maryland. They did three shows on board the Carnival Cruise ship, Inspiration (January 2003). Future plans include another cruise (January 2004), traveling in their RV, performing, and simply enjoying life as they make their permanent home in Sebring, Florida.
