Are All Theses Fundraisers Necessary? |
| It seems like we do an awful lot of fundraising. Well we do. The Band Parents provide a number of services to the band. Many of these services cost money. Some you may know about, others you may not. Listed below are just a few of the many things we do for the kids. |

* Provide meals when traveling. (I.e. Away Football Games) * Pay for the field show and special instructors. * The annual dinner dance and awards banquet. * Band shirts for new students. * Senior Jackets * Band Scholarship |
| Every other year the band plans a big trip. In years past, the band has traveled to South Carolina, Georgia, Canada, and Florida. The cost of the trip is significant. All students and chaperones are required to pay their way for the trip. The only way to ease the burden for each student is fundraising. |
Am I Required to Fundraise? |
| The answer to that question
is NO.
We do not require fundraising, nor is it expected that students who fundraise
participate in every fundraising activity. However, If a student
wishes to go on the big trip, and does not fundraise at least half the
cost of the trip, the student is required to pay an additional $100 toward
the cost of the trip.
This helps defray the cost of the many other services we provide the band. Without student fundraising, many of the services the Band Parents provide are not be possible. |

Fundraising and Student Credit |
| Half of the profit from each fundraising event is added to the student credit. A portion of each fundraiser profit goes into the band general fund and is used to pay for the many services the band parents provide. During the recent Krispy Kreme sale, each student received one dollar into his/her credit for each dozen of donuts sold while one dollar went into the general fund. |

What is my Student Credit? |
| Student credit is posted monthly on the office window in the band room. Additionally, student credit is published on the band web site. The web page is updated whenever student credit changes. |
