2001/2002 Field Show

Banner Carriers
The Marching Mowhawks' 2001/2002 field show takes on a latin theme and features four songs arranged by Michael Brown.


Band on the Field
The first number is El Cumbanchero, written by Rafael Hernandez in 1943.
El Cumbanchero features a trumpet solo by Sophmore William Frey.

Bill Frey performs his solo

The band's second field show selection is Perfidia, written by Alberto Dominguez in 1939.

John Carey belts one out

The percussion section is featured in Tito Puente's Ran Kan Kan. Also featured in Ran Kan Kan are William Frey on bells and underclassman Sara Casey on xylophone.

Scott Carey prepares to change direction

The show closes out with Brazil, written by S.K. Russell and Ary Barroso. Once again, William Frey is featured on trumpet.

Lauren Carey

Ms. Karen M. John directs the E.L. Meyers High School Marching Band.
The 2001/2002 field design is by Mr. Ed Otto.
Mr. Matt Smallcomb instructs the percussion and Ms. Amy Czajkowski leads the band front.

Marine Corp Color Guard

Drum Majors for the 2001/2002 marching band are senior Robinne Okrasinski and Sophmore James Casey.


The band also helps to cheer on the football team by playing a number of peppy numbers in the stand.
