It’s really not that frightening.

Everything I know.
I can tell you’re scared to read it,

So I think you’re pretty safe.
You may find it shocking at first,
But it won’t hurt you just to read it.
There are things about my childhood,
Awful, gruesome things.
Things that would make a normal reader cringe.
But you’re safe to read it.
I promise. I made sure.
Why don’t you read the writing on the wall?
It’s there in plain sight,
Just for you to see.

You’ll know what I’ve been going through.
Wouldn’t that be grand!
If only you would open up your eyes
