Well, weeks, then months went by,and Joey and I graduated. Soon after, Joey and his group "*nsync" were able to land a record deal. A few weeks later, I took Joey to the airport to say goodbye before he leaves to go and record overseas. At the airport, waiting for his friends, Joey holds me in his lap, his arms draped around my waist. "I'm going to miss you Sam."
"I'm going to miss you too, Joes. Don't forget about me."
"Hey now... Don't think like that." He turns me around so I have to look at him. "I'll be back before you know it."
I give Joey a big hug. "I know, but I'm still worried."
Joey kisses my lips softly. "Sam, I love you. Don't forget that."
"OK, I won't Joey." I whisper as his friends come up to him.
"Hey Joey and Sam!" JC says.
"Hi JC." Joey says back.
Then, over the loudspeaker, comes the announcement for the guys' plane. I walk with *nsync to their gate, and Joey stays behind for a second to say a final goodbye.
"Sam." Joey begins, and I just lean forward and kiss him. We kiss and then I back away and wave.
"Take care Joey."
"You too Sam. I'll talk to you soon." Joey walks down the terminal, out of sight.
