OK, now as most of you know, *nsync became quite famous. I have to brag just a little bit though. I mean, since I was one of the first people in the public to hear the first single. You know "I Want You Back"? And it STILL is one of my favorite songs!
I didn't hear alot from Joey. I was seriously bummed. I mean, I loved him. And I thought he loved me, which... I guess he didn't.
I went to a couple of their concerts, and it hurt. It hurt me to see Joey up there, and me not anywhere in his life. And he looked so happy about it all.
So life went on, and I went onto school to help me get my dream. See, I since I was little I wanted to be a dancer. I took all sorts of dance lessons since I was like, 3. I just went to continue it in college. Then I auditioned. My first audition was really nerve racking. I was so nervous I didn't do well, and didn't get a callback. But as time went on, I eventually got better at auditions, and appeared in a couple music videos. Then, I got the chance of a lifetime.
"You want me to audition for WHO?" I squealed into the phone to my friend Danni. (Remember her?) Danni and her husband Derek were my "managers".
"I got this call from the Backstreet Boys' choreographer, Fatima Richardson, who has seen you work, and is VERY impressed might I add, and she wants you to audition for the Backstreet Boys' tour, and an appearance in 'Larger Than Life'." She says.
Needless to say, since this is like... BIG, I took the offer. Know what? I MADE IT!! Me, Samantha, was going to be a dancer for the Backstreet Boys. Ok, so it wasn't *nsync, but I gotta start somewhere. I thought, afterall, maybe, just maybe, I might see Joey again.
I went on the Millennium tour with the Backstreet Boys and well, to be honest, hit it off with AJ. (You know, the one with all the tattoos and such.) When he asked me to go the Grammys... I was flattered, and I said yes.
The Grammys... Where to start? Besides being asked the same stupid "Are you AJ's girlfriend?" question over and over again, it was totally awesome. Then I saw Joey.
