Justin walked down the hall to the elevator and pushed the button going down, since they were on the seventh floor. He casually checked his watch. Oh crap I'm late he thought. He figured he'd apologize when he got there, but thought better of it. She can wait he thought.
The elevator doors opened and he looked up startled when he saw JC in the elevator staring at him. "Going somewhere? You look nice."
"Are you saying I can't look presentable when I go somewhere?" Justin snapped.
"At 11:30 at night?" Jc shot back testily.
"Yeah--got a problem wioth that? some of us have lives"Justin said stepping back folding his arms. He knew he was acting childish, and the fiery gleam in JC's eyes was telling him that JC knew this too.
"Look--it's a compliment. Accept it and move on. I don't know what's been crawling up your ass, but you need to get it out. and soon."JC said stepping off the elevator and briskly strolling down the hall.
He had a point. Justin knew he had been acting like a real moron latley. He should not have let his problems interfere with his life, and the way he treated his friends. He didn't know why jc had just yelled at him though...maybe he'd been acting like a prick longer than he had realised.
Now wasn't the time to ponder the meaning of life. He needed a reality check--though they may be blunt-were always good.
Justin shook his head and stepped gingerly onto the elevator. He referred to the note from Ariella that was safely in his pocket to make sure he had the right floor. His eyes scanned the short letter until he found the room number 410. The same room where they had met over two years ago.Was she purposely trying to make this harder than it already was? Shaking his head, he pushed the button with a bit of dred and felt his stomach flip flop...but it had nothing to do with the plummeting elevator...
Jc walked into The hotel room and slammed the door behind him. Lance loke up surprised."Umm aren't you int he wrong room?"
"No. I just want to hang out with a friend. is that ok?" He said pulling up a seat on the floor in front of the television.
Riiiiiiiight. Now what to you want?"Lance asked suspiciously.
"Justin's being a pain in the ass."
"Nothing new there" Lance shrugged and turned back to the program he was watching. A couple minutes silence passed. The Jc broke the silience so suddenly that Lance started.
"You see, I met him outside the elevator and I told him he looked nice and he got this attitude with me."
"Really?" Lance said interestedly turning away from the Tv.
"He just left out of here about 5 minutes ago to go see Ariella."
"Ariella Jacobs?"
"The one and only" Lance said turning back to the television. Jc pondered for a moment. That made alot of sense. It was like a puzzle now, and all the pieces were fitting.
Justin stepped off the elevator at the 4th floor and looked around. It looked the same as the 7th floor, with complete with the little old plump cleaning woman that was normally there. He walked up to her. Her hair was a dusty salt 'n' pepper color and was matted in a tacky looking french roll. She smelled strongly of cigarettes, and her uniform was stained and looked as if it had not been washed in a while.
"Umm excuse me ma'am. could you tell me where room 410 is?"
The woman gave him a hard look before answering him in a low raspy voice. "You're standing in front of it. I just got finished cleaning in there and the young woman said she was waiting for a man to meet her. Very pretty too. I hope you two have a good time..." She leaned in closer and he thought he would almost faint at the smell of ammonia and tobacco mixed together. "Is this your first time? I mean...I could teach you a few tricks of the trade." She said in a husky voice.
Justin's head popped up in surprise. "look umm..." He glanced at her ID tag hanging off the front of her blouse."Doris I would love to, but I'm not herre for that and I really need to be going..."
She grinned and he noticed that 2 of her teeth were missing. "You can find me in the storage room if you ever need some parctice big boy..." she said slaping his buttocks on her way down the hall with her cleaning cart.
He stared after her and rubbed his rear "Isn't that sexual harrassment or something.." He muttered to himself. Well I can't help it if the women are all over me... He thought. But the he sobered up when he remembered that that was the reason why he was standing out of her room.
No use in standing outside the door. What if Doris came back or something. He cringed at the thought. He took a deep breath."It's now or never" He mumbled raising his fist to knock on the door.
