She picked up a brush lying on her bedside table and brushed her long, stright brown hair. It was mid back or so, with a slight curl and the end; lose tendrils framed her face to add a soft touch that contrasted her shap, witty personality.
But tonight she felt niether sharp or witty. What she felt was sick. I had taken alot of nerve for her to find when they were playing and arrange a date and time, but it took even more to ask him and hope that he showed up.
Her life had been so desolent with out seeing his cheerful face, with out having his warm personality and pep talks around. She felt this void, this empty, this need , for something. and she knew exactly what she wanted.
Ariella looked down and strighted her shirt and brushed off her pants. she walked across the room in shaky steps to where the door was and got a firm grasp on the handle, not knowing that her counterpart opposite of her was doing the same.
Justin lowered his hand grabbed the handled and hoped this would be quick, and less painful then he expected.
Inhaling deeply, she reminded herself, that she had tried, and if he wasn't here then it was his loss, and their love was over. For real this time. Somehow, this didn't comfort her, like she thought it would."On three..."she said softly still comepletly unaware of Justin on the other side of the door doing his own little countdown.
Justin glanced at his watch. "3...2.."He prepared to strike the door with his fist, but the door opened and almost hit the young woman standing in the door frame.
Ariella threw her hand up to intercept his flailing one. Justin blushed a deep coral-ish color and she release his hand, letting it fall limply to his side. For a momnet, niether of them spoke or looked at each other.
"Come in"She said stepping aside letting him in the room. He stepped in and looked around as she turned around to shut the door. She took a bracing breath and turned around to meet his cold eyes.
"So I see you decided to show up" She said. Her voice was oddly distorted and almost sounded harsh.
Ariella cleared her throught nervously. "Um..have a seat." Justin glared at her. "I'm perfectly fine standing.
"Err, right.." Why was he making this harder for her than it already was? After a few more moments of silence, he sighed agitatedly.'Did you invite me here for a silence contest. I don't have time to play any more of your games.
If anything, that sparked her temper. "Look. You are here so I can explain. Really I shouldn't even have to explain myself to you. If you had trusted me and listened to me in the first place, we wouldn't be going through all of this!"
"Trust you!" he shrieked. How can I trust you now? I trusted you before, but seemed to be a mistake now wasn't it?"
She glared at him from underneath her eyebrows. "I don't know who set you up on this high thrown of yours, but come out of your fairy taled world for just one fucking minute and let me EXPLAIN!!"
He swallowed hard, and grinned a horrible thin lipped, sarcastic smile. When he spoke his voice was at a deadly calm. "What os there to explain Ariella?' She flinched at the sound of her name "We were having a nice time at lunch, celebrating your return from 'illness', and I was here to claim my 'dessert' but looks like someone else already had it reserved. That's all there is to it." His volume continued to increase with each word he spoke. "I saw it with my own damn eyes, now LOOK ME IN THE EYES AND TELL ME I'M WRONG!" He yelled glaring intently into her soft brown eyes.
She took a step closer to him and glowered back at him. "Let me spell it out for you. You....Are...WRONG!"
He snorted disbelievingly "Then prove it. You have no hard evidence. You cheated on me. simple as that...No wait-- let me guess, you just have 'extra friendly' relations with male relatives, who like to drop by and stick their tounge down your throat!"
"What the hell are you on about?"
He smirked at her and rolled his eyes. "Kill me now and get it over with"
Ariella couln't believe what she was hearing out of his mouth. He was the peacekeeper. He was the one who worked things out, but this wan't him and she wasn't having it. She bought him here for a reason, one that she planned to justify.
Sit down dammit and let me explain!" She yelled fiercly pushing him into a chair by the bed. At first he was a little shocked, but that was quickly overcome by anger.
"Look you little whore, I don't have time for this non sense. If I want to fuck around like this, I'll just find a another bitch! one that's smarter than you!" Before he even had time to register what he had said, her palm smacked hard against his face, stinging like a sharp dagger on his delicate skin. He looked at her angrily and in shock and headed for the door. He didn't have to stand here and take this. He wasn't here to be smacked around.
She beat him to the door and locked it, then tossing the keys across the room. "Your not going ANYWHERE until I explain. I'm not wasting my breath here."
He looked at her somewhat fearfully. He was locked an a room with an angry ex girlfriend. he slowly backed into a wall. She approached him and folded her arms across her chest.
Her tone was athoritive when she spoke and he shrank back from her presence."Now let's get a few things straight."
