We got Gus Gus a few months before Mittens died. He was the best cat in the world. He loved me the most out of all my cats so far. He would miss me when I went off to college but was very happy when I came home for visits. He was my pal!
Gussie's nickname was "Super Gus". He loved to hide in the tub and jump out at you. We almost had a cape made for him. He also loved to dance. He loved my neighbor Earl. He would sit at the front window and call his name when Earl was out there. Earl's cat is very picky when it comes to friends. Gus Gus was the only cat she liked and didn't spit at. She misses Gussie as much as we do.
He died in 96 from feline AIDS(FIV). He was about 4 years old. This was the saddest day of my life. When the time came, I rushed home from college, skipping out on a test. Luckily my professor was an animal lover and understood my position. When I got home I couldn't believe my eyes. RIght before me wasn't the fun loving cat I left behind. He was sad and very lethargic. My poor baby was leaving us. What made this the saddest day was how he tried to fight the sleepness when he heard my voice. I was just happy I made it home in time....for him. Even in his weakened state he knew who I was.

Here he is hiding under the Christmas Tree.

Here he is on the stairs.

Here he is acting goofy on the chair.
