Status Effects

Status effects can be either positive or negative, based on what they do. No matter what the effects are, any and all status excepting KO are removed at the end of a battle. First we'll look at the positive status. These can either raise a numerical stat, such as VIT, or add a protective effect to your character.

Barrier 1 - 3 physical attacks
Halves damage from physical attacks.
Barrier 2 - 3 physical attacks
All damage is prevented from physical attacks.
MBarrier 1 - 3 magical attacks
Halves damage from magical attacks.
MBarrier 2 - 3 magical attacks
Reflects all spells onto opponent of the affected. Note that this also affects spells with positive effects.
Magic Boost 1 - 3 magical strikes
Multiplies magical damage by 1.5.
Magic Boost 2 - 3 magical strikes
Multiplies magical damage by 2.
Enchanted - 3 physical strikes
Multiplies physical damage by 1.5.
Tailwind - 3 rounds
Increases speed by 10% (SPD x1.1).
Updraft - 4 rounds
Affected character is unaffected by everything except magic, spears, crossbow bolts, and arrows.
Hardness 1 - 5 rounds
Increases defense by 10% (DEF x1.1), and affected character takes half damage from Earth magic, crossbow bolts, and arrows.
Hardness 2 - Until end of combat
Increases defense by 20% (DEF x1.2), and affected character takes no damage from Earth magic, crossbow bolts, and arrows.

Now let's look at the negative status effects. Some lower numerical stats, such as INT, and others just have detrimental effects regarding what your character is able to do.

Poisoned - Until end of battle
At the end of every affected character's turns, they recieve 2% of their max HP in damage (maxHP x1.02).
Blind - 5 rounds
Lowers Hit and Avoid by 10% each (HIT x0.9, and AVD x0.9).
Mute - Until end of battle
Affected character is no longer able to use magic, though skills are still effective.
Numb - 3 rounds
Affected character can no longer use skills or physical attacks, but can still use magic.
Asleep - 3 rounds, or until hit with a physical attack
Affected character is unable to take any action until they wake up.
Magic Block 1 - 3 magical strikes
Multiplies magical damage by 0.5.
Magic Block 2 - 3 magical strikes
Counters all magical attacks cast by the affected character, and deals them 500 absolute damage.
Petrifying 1 - Until end of battle
One's legs turn into stone, though they are still usable. This the first step in being turned completely to stone.
Petrifying 2 - Until end of battle
The affected character's body is stone from their feet to their chest. They can still move normally, but they are well on their way to being completely turned to stone.
Stone - 15 minutes
The character's body is completely turned to stone, making them unable to move or take any actions. Any character affected by Stone loses the battle they are in automatically.
