"Reunion"
Are the pastures of Heaven greener, Than the meadows of home, here below? Do you call to old Shep by a river, As you did here, so long ago?
Did the star-lighted windows of Heaven, In the land of God, where you are, Guide your feet to the Pathway of Angels, In your journey, so final, so far?
Did the Holy Mother greet you, With a smile of infinite joy? Did she take in her arms and comfort A bewildered, weeping boy?
These questions have long gone unanswered, But this I know to be true, All sorrows will turn into joy When at long last, I see you.
And there on the Trail of the Ages, When life's journey is over and done, Oh! What a joyous reunion With you, beloved son.
