After nearly 2 years of planning and preparation, the official magazine of Royal Russia, is now available.

Royal Russia is the only periodical of its kind dedicated solely to the study and appreciation of the Romanov Dynasty and their rich legacy. A new annual will be published at the beginning of each new year.

Each issue features a series of full-length articles by historians and Romanov specialists around the world, including new articles on the Romanovs by Russian historians, translated from Russian. These articles mark their English debut in the pages of Royal Russia! I will also be introducing new writers from Russia and Europe, such as Irene Galaktionova, who is a regular contributor.

Unique collections of rare and vintage photographs are also featured in each issue, many of them will be new to Western readers. These include: Monuments to the Romanovs in Post-Soviet Russia and Frozen in Time: Photographic Memories of the Russian Imperial Family, plus The Lost World of Imperial Russia: Vintage Photographs of Russia Before the Revolution .

A regular feature in each issue will include My Russia, a unique travelogue in which I share my personal journeys to Russia, highlighting places of interest that have a connection to Romanov history or that of Tsarist Russia and richly illustrated with my own personal photographs.

Each issue of Royal Russia is free of advertisments, giving readers more full-length articles and photographs, thus ensuring value for money. Overall I am very optimistic that I can offer Romanovphiles and Russophiles a quality publication that is filled with unique and interesting articles, beautiful photographs and more!

Royal Russia is available in a large 8-1/2” x 11” magazine format, complete with full-colour cover. Each annual will offer over 100 pages of text and more than 100 photographs and illustrations. Please note that the annuals will not be sold by subscription, but as individual copies. I have purposely utilized a specific size and page count in order to take advantage of third-class mail which is considerably cheaper than the parcel rates for books, and thus keeping the price to a minimum.

Please note that Royal Russia can be purchased from our online shop, and we accept orders from all countries and ship worldwide by air mail. Royal Russia can also be purchased from the following booksellers: Librairie Galignani in Paris, France, Booksellers van Hoogstraten in the Hague, Netherlands, and Amazon.com in the United States.

If you have any questions regarding Royal Russia, please do not hesitate to contact me by e-mail or telephone.

Sincerely Yours,
Paul Gilbert
