In the darkended shadows of which I stand in a ray of light is a reaching hand, grasping me tight, upward bound; you pull me up to higher ground.
When the black light tried to swallow me whole, you shined down and brightened my soul. Just when I thought the world would end, you stepped in and were my only friend.
When in chains of jealousy without a key, you eased my mind and set me free. As I reflect back; how could it be that I hurt the one that meant most to me?
You are the smile that hides my pain; you are the sun that stops the rain. Despite all our troubles, difficulties and strife, it seems that I've loved you all of my life.
