I Pray

This is a poem that one of my best friends wrote for me when I was going through a difficult time in my life

I pray for God to give me the ability to forgive in a heart that is already overflowing with anger.

I pray for God to give me a sense of security in a world that has taught me to distrust.

I pray for God to give me the power of hope so in the darkest hour I may see light ahead.

I pray for God to give me the will to accept other with grace, strength and self respect.

I pray for God to give me the ability to learn that now everything is truthful so that I may turn away from the face of ignorance.

I pray for God to give me love and caring, the things that keep me sane.
