I mentioned in the last page
that I was a christian and lemme just tell ya. there's nothing more satisfying
or fulfilling than having a purpose in life. Over the years that I have been
in school I have learned that everything, All Knowledge and information,
can somehow be traced back to man and his desire to fill the void in his life
History is full of mistakes and blemishes coming from a desire to consume
and assimilate new worlds and cultures. Science tries to explain the mysteries
of the universe but it only deals and explains things that can be studied and
recreated. Literature is full of heartbreak, passion, love and loss rooted
in wanting a member of the opposite sex to fill the void. And advertising in
itself tries to fill it or more appropriately forget about it by buying new
things and acquiring new toys and earning more money. Thousands of years ago
Solomon wrote, "meaningless, meaningless. All is meaningless." (I paraphrase)
and this statement is still true today. People still try in vain to fill the void with trivial things and pampering technologies. Yet they have not dealt with the fundamental problem.I do not need these things I used to but not any more and you can get in on the deal too. All you have to do is A) Admit that you're a sinner. (which if you think about it, we all are) B) Believe in the savior John 3:16 is a hint and C) Confess your sins and <<STOP
DOING THEM>> or at least try.
After that you can live in your
newfound freedom and forgiveness or you can be like me and try to work
on the great commission Matt. 28:16 and try to spread that joy to others
(that's you) using your talents (art, public speaking...really whatever
you're good at) and modern technology (that's your computer).
