The twelve err, 8 err, 6? Apostles...

When you land in Melbourne, there's all this hype about the Great Ocean Road, a two or three day drive to the West towards Adelaide. It is certainly beautiful, and there's no shortage of epic photo ops as you wind along a coastline not unlike Big Sur. One of the highlights is the 12 Apostles, a cluster of iconic sea stacks near Princetown that are probably one of the most photographed coastal images in Australia after the Great Barrier Reef. But every so often, another one of the apostles loses it's balance and falls into the sea, ruining all the tourist literature and confusing people like me who dutifully counted, over and over again, always coming up short. I heard varying numbers, but the consensus is there are about 8 apostles left.
