work is really hard right now, but it's definitely getting better with every call. well, almost every call. sometimes they're jerks. oh well, it's for that one time i called in and was really mad at sprint. did you know that when you sign a cellphone contract, that it says that they never guarantee you service at anytime, ANYWHERE? it's crazy. they're definitely butt-covered. colby's getting his little a/d d/a converter tomorrow for his stuuuuudio. it's our first real purchase towards it (by real i mean costing more than a grand). so we're REALLY excited about that. can't wait to have our own little money maker/stress generator and not have to answer to the boss and the client at the same time. that's all for now!
we're trying to pick out a doctor. really really stressful. colby called a few people this morning/afternoon, and the first one, that our general dr. refered us to, scheduled us an appointment for when i'm already 12 WEEKS pregnant. i know they probably don't need to check me up or whatever til then, but i have just a *few* questions, if you know what i mean. like eleventybillion. AND she said i wouldn't see her until later on, but the nurse instead, and then, if she's not available to see me when i make my appt., then there are other doctors there i can see, which would help when she's possibly too busy to actually deliver the baby, and then the other doctor can deliver it, and i can already be aquainted with him/her. if she's too busy for me, (i was napping when colby called, or i would have told her this right then) then why doesn't she just say so, and i can take my money and firstborn somewhere else. the next lady (i'd rather have a woman ob-gyn, but apparently so does every other mother, but there aren't as many women as men-- on my insurance list anyway) said the hospital fee would be 5 to 8 thousand, and the dr. visits with the sonograms and other tests would be about 4500. we have insurance, it covers 70%. but still. and colby still needs a studio. women used to have babies in the bathtub, and the solution to every problem was "bring hot water". not that i want that, but at least it fits my budget.
