(briana-"I've got a golden tiiiicket!") then we went home to put away our groceries and headed to rachel and isaac's house. ted has a fever. oh oh oh and my other present is a ring for to add to my wedding ring so so pretty! (tis in the mail, alas) now we're going home to watch movies and exercise and...other stuff.

so April Fool's I'll be preparing to purchase the Joe Malone Audio TMP8 as the first major acquisition for my recording endeavor. My patience shan't wain too much I hope.

I'll tell you what, there is not a lot to say today, feeling rather a-ok. So much said already whether heard or not by others, I always was there; and so here I've been all the while, not so long really, not so long.

I prefer Kenny Rodgers' tunes in his pre-suck era when he was kicking out the rock and/or roll. And I'll say that when one strays not from their basics--their roots--then there's no need to apologize or endure the berating, but if you can't care anyhow... Opinions don't seem as useful as they used to. People do drugs to be otherwhere, some psychofantasmal blah; anything to feel weightless again.

And if my nerves are how I feel physically, can't we do something about all that. What a waste of time and money, this govt. Nerves don't do emotions. Emotions tend to lie. A tree off in the distance, that's a world for some tininess living. Coloring books, now that's where it's at.

Then through the weeds we upped & downed abounding in the newness of what experience could be as boys coming of an age when soon men we'd be--much farther off and more difficult than we'd've thot--mustering remnants of courage and nostalgic spurs for to fuel our revelry.

Yes, omnivorism is my cup of herbal tea.

so when we arrived, this guy Josh from work was the first thing that caught my eye. and ear, and nose. He was drunk, belligerent, and a little smelly. this was at 5pm. i sat down on the couch next to him and told him he could talk to me, but not at me. the festivities were at Clyde's apartment here in Lubbock. at first it was a total sausage festival, i was the only girl there, and completely off limits to all but colby. sooo apparently Josh and Gayland, er *skittles* had gone to Taco Bell and eaten right after work at about 3 and began celebrating (aka getting smashed) right after they swallowed their food. *at least they're not alcoholics, they don't drink in the AM!* anyway, everyone there was for the Patriots, except Josh, who made this fact very well known to anyone who came through the door. I felt bad that he was all alone in this cheering endeavor, so we decided to go for Philly. Personally I don't watch football regularly, so I chose it on the fact that Philadelphia is a really cool city, regardless of their football team's abilities. When the game prediction discussion turned into a heated argument Josh decides he's going to jump in the pool (yeah it's Texas, but it's still February) if the Patriots win, and Gayland will jump in the pool if the Eagles win. at about halftime Josh went to the bathroom, yakked and took a little nappy nap. then he got quiet when he came back. alas, the eagles lost, and Clyde decides that Josh is just too inebriated to jump in the pool (Clyde was almost as drunk, and so the shouting argument begins), and in the midst of all that, Gayland takes off his pants, revealing his tighty whities, and jumps into the pool. twice. so josh goes upstairs (where he and his fiance live) and gets his swim trunks and jumps in too. Gayland has no body fat whatsoever, or in the single digits percentage at the most, so he's very very cold. clothes back on and a blanket for Gayland, and we went home. what a fun filled night! i was worried that Colby would be tempted with all the drinking going on, but sometimes a discordant drinking party can be more therapeutic for an alcoholic that an AA meeting. we'll have to do this again, boys.

That's got to be one of my favorite Beatles songs of all forever time. and you know how hard it is to pick a favorite, if you like the Beatles at all-which you should, you uncultured swine.

I love this job. today. it's not everyday you come to work and get free hotdogs. it's not everyday you come to work and do next to nothing, or whatever you want. noooo sir, not everyday. just 5 days a week. I am excited to get off work though, I think we're going to try and catch the Thrift Store Cowboys tonight. they're playing for some disaster relief for Florida tonight. the only problem is we don't know when their set is, and there's going to be a lot of bands playing. Our shift doesn't end until 11pm. bah.

i've been sleeping sooo much lately. again. need to get back on the prozac. don't like to need it. but i do. thanks, mum! props to evey for the pills, yo.
