Yesterday, our guide, Frances, took Mia and I through the Yu Yuan Gardens. It's a large market with tons of vendors selling stuff like silks, fans, tea, etc. The three of us stopped at the cutest little tea shop. There was a young girls working there, and they had a small table set up for tasting the different teas. We sat down and tasted all kinds of tea, and had a nice convresation. They were obviously proud of their skills in english! And they were so friendly! Mia and I each bought some tea from them. I bought Jasmine tea, but it's different because it's loose tea. It's an actual jasmine flower bud. You put it into a cup of hot water and the flower blooms! It's really quite pretty.

Last night we went out dancing with Tom, Jerry, Frances, Jennifer and Arway. It was a lot of fun, and Mia and I got hit on by a few Chinese dudes. Before we went, frances warned us that this bar was full of "drugs and uneducated people."

We're stuck in traffic right now, and there are vendors wandering amid the cars right on the highway! They're selling maps, steering wheel covers, car window blinds, etc. Ah, the things some people will do to make a buck (or a yuan!).
